I took a trip today down memory lane Stopping off at a few friends graves Not that they could but thought I would have my say Knowing little difference it would make
I talked about all that we had done Bringing in both the sorrow and the fun A conversation of one on one With every stone I sat upon
I brought up death, I brought up life And how one must be lost for the other to find To me that seems like such a crime As the tears fell from my eyes
I wiped each stone gingerly as I walked away Not sure they'd recognize me today old and gray But I do feel better after having my say From my stroll down memory lane
