what's in my head
I paused
and then I softly said
some days a poem
some days a song,
but then I suddenly
realized
that prayers
are what I've memorized
and with a prayer
your mind can
feel
that love
from songs
and poems
is real,
so these I
keep inside
my mind
so that I
will always find
that God alone
will suffice
and I will
not have to
think twice.
