Forgive me for feeling
freely and sweetly
Cherry blossoms surround me in
dreams that find me immediately as
my lids close like concrete

So sweetly, so needy
I’m sorry you feel me so deeply
I’m sorry you can’t even hear me
through this glass thin enough to shatter with
the piercing truth of my laughter

Space, here, and never
had the youth of my brother
had the gift of giving further
to the earth that flowers broader
than my mind could ever capture
