One short night
Opened the flood gates
For the first time in years,
Releasing the river of emotions
I had held back
To shield myself
From the pain of rejection...

Years of winter runoff
Pouring through my veins,
Igniting my every breath
With the drug called love.
A raging torrent,
Untamable and unstoppable.
