One short night Opened the flood gates For the first time in years, Releasing the river of emotions I had held back To shield myself From the pain of rejection... Years of winter runoff Pouring through my veins, Igniting my every breath With the drug called love. A raging torrent, Untamable and unstoppable. the flood gates are open
