She took her dreams to the ocean
to walk among the sand and foam
to rake away the sleep from her eyes
to role away the stone

Shedding clothes that fit no more
the chains they forced to wear
she breathes the freshness freedom brings
she breathes the salty air

No selfishness in this change
no running from, or to
one must surrender to the wind
do what it whispers do

enlightened now, she feels the sun
and worships every rise
needing naught, from dusk til dawn
til time must close her eyes.
For my Sister Wanda.........
