My breath won't stay strong
It comes
In sharp bursts
I know it won't be long
Before my heart starts to hurt.
The pain is too much,
Overwhelming my lungs.
And so I can't breathe.
Heart, caged
Has been stung.

For the song you have sung,
Though so full of love.
Is killing me softly.
With a pain I won't be rid of.
Actually dying at the moment.
