I think of all the times you said you push away
But I don't mind
I'm staying here no matter what you say

I could bring you places you've never been before
You'll be flying high
I'll give you everything you've always waited for

I know I'm alive
Perhaps in another life
I might get it right

You like to say that time is on our side
But you must realize
I'm too impatient to watch it all go by

You say the house can burn if we light a match
Though that may be true
You can't sit there freezing just because you're afraid to get attached
