Broken promises,
Shouting in corridors,
A mess of jumbled noise,
And disappointment,

Deep jealousy,
And anger.
Clenched fists;
Nails screaming in my palms.
Digging through,

Breaking skin,
And releasing the sweet,
Simmering copper-tinged taste,
Of pain.
