Tranquility upon this body of water , killdeer , blue jay , mallard and Canadian goose occupy her shore this Summer , oasis surrounded by urban sprawl , last refuge for young at heart , she mystifies to this very day.........I skip a stone across her wide , blue expanse in the name of all that protect and preserve her , young and old , and those in the nurture of the womb , with hope that they may witness her beauty in the days ahead ...........
