A good man died today
One who added to the quality
And color of life
A rarity

My pen cannot do him justice
Tears only serve to soften my sorrow
The world is better for his life
But colder for his passing

My pen cannot do him justice
It can only offer a minor memorial
A piece of poetic gratitude
For the precious time he shared with me

So I thank you Ken
And I hope I grow to be a good man
Like you were
