And so
He surrounds his castle
With an inner circle
Of loyal subjects
Canine, feline
And feminine
A tradition
Well preserved

A peaceful kingdom
In which he rules
With the warmth
And kindness
Passed down through
Ever-changing
Generations

Slowly fables
Were shed
To expose
The rational mind
The more we evolve
Spiritually
The more
Our superstitions
Decline

With the realization
Mercy, compassion
And love
Are not subject to belief...
