You put me down with hatred,
Push me off the cliff,
Leave me alone in dark alleys,
But like air, you will never control me,
I will shine and rise.

Do you want me to cry?
See my face hanging low?
But like the Sun, I will be the brightest star.
I will shine and rise.

Does my passion burn you?
You may hurt my innocence,
But like wild fire, I will burn your false pride.
I will shine at the darkest night.
I will rise far above the skyline.
You can’t stop me,
I am here to shine and rise.
