I gave you a picture frame,
dripping with the saturation of a million lies.
We pinned memories,
to each and every star in the night sky.

Tears stain concrete black,
among shards of the glass slipper.
Each piece, a laceration,
to the heart, it's a trigger.

Eviscerated of love,
the stars seem to fade,
into obscurity,
they remain.
