I hear silence on the wind
your voice already gone-
Gone away into yesterdays mind-
remembered now only in snatched dreams.

The wind alone whistles a plaintive song-
Song of searching voices to lift
and carry in its swirling womb.

Enlaced across the linear futures past-
All experienced now is set as diamonds-
Hard fast held in a heart made for love-
and the gathering power of a silent wind.
