The burns on your arms
Singe like a map when I watch them
The Waterboard moment
When I watched you burn yourself
the worst new years I've ever had
No one was happy.
I wanted to be drunk for once without anyone
making a fuss, trying to help,
interfering in release; so instead you all needed
me.

Everything burned.
Sparklers
Fireworks
Her heart
His anger
Your guilt, singeing me like life lost
in a forest flood.
Made 2 years ago, I'm doing a clear-out of my drafts folder
