went into a store today
to buy a new wooly
and i think they ripped me off
the sign said
wooly jumpers half price
and i thought oh thats nice
so i brought it there and then
only to get it home
to find
it was wooly
but did it jump
it clearly said that on the sign
think i have been ripped off !!!

My princess of the sand.
Paul Hardwick Oct 2012
Who can know
of all her thoughts
and of what she knows
did she come from a strange world
from some where within
or maybe the moon or the stars
she makes me feel like
i have the devil in my shoes
making me dance
to the ever glittering light
that shines in her hair
but here she is
that princess
of the sand
i look around and hope to find that princess behind
my princess of the sand.

Leaning on a wall
feel a little like a Banksi
lighting a cigerette
with my painted hands

will life never
leave me alone
think i will
go home
and lean on my head
seams the best thing to do.

Looking at flowers that bloom.

Dear Mother
This very morning you did ask
When will you and your bother
sort out those squirrels in the loft?
kept me awake last night!

Dear Mother
Those squirrels me and my brother do never hear!
It is only you and by the way your nearly deaf
and those squirrels are all in the attic of your very own head.

His mad eyes
and he is getting old
so they can take so much more
but not from his
Dr WHO soul.

Do not lose sleep
DO not CRY or weep
DO NOT SAY I told yah!
Think about it twice maybe Sharon Osbourne, at leasts the visuals would be nice.

Space is a limit
once your

here we live on this solid ground
here we move around

far beyond
the politicians
tell us
that is to expensive
lets instead rebuild this bank

Paul Hardwick Jun 2015
Come on people
lets cellabrate the rainy days
read on here
and you will see I am not wrong
on sunny days
we all smile as the radiation burns our skin
growing cancers deep within
we all smile
and say what a beautiful day
be sure we have it all wrong
but when it rains
protected by the clouds
we all look gloomy and for cover do run
so next time
you looking for a holiday
pick a place where it always rains
and I will see you all in Wales.

People came not long to stay
Sniffed the flowers
And drifted away
Woke up to more

How do these people get here
Bet I will sleep tonight

Leave me people
I am alright

All to soon
in a land of dreams
we grow like a tree
running through street
to a city edge
fine a path to walk through
come to a canals edge
pick up the winds of time
move to a distant shore
of sand of gold
lay on a beach
get a sore head
feel dizzy for the rest of the day
and at night rub on cream
as our skins give off
a strange green glow
feel hot
even thought we are not
if you dream this tonight
write me
on a postcard
state'in wish
you where here
instead of me
no I don't.

drifting to places of the heart
echo like you remember in your past
of love and all the softer things
but just behind the shadows fall into dust
and at
you wake up.

Paul Hardwick Dec 2016
It's hard to live life out here
most things out of bounds
fingers glowing in cyber space
typing things down
that I really mean nothing, at all
for all, to be seen
and should have kept in my own mind
none of which mean a thing to anyone nor me
there's no atmosphere
to help me breath
there is no gravity
nothing to help keep me tied down
or to keep my feet on the ground
just drifting things in my head,
just drifting in a sea of that which
is no more than my own mind
and deep feeling in my head
all by this tomorrow my mind will forget
so my advice
is keep cyberspace
inside your own head
and leave my cyberspace alone
