Even when we think
We have control
Life has a way
Of showing us
Just how much our plans
Our are sense of control
Really matters
In this world
We must learn
To give up control
Understand
That things happen
As they happen
Things don't always
Go as planned
We can't keep trying
To control everything
Just let life flow
Understand the flow of life
Life will become
A lot easier

DieingEmbers
She had lips
to hang my words upon
wreathed
in smoke and half spoken promises...

her accent
accentuated my need
to taste her words
overlapping my own
in one sweet

kiss.

...take walks through town
with no specific destination...

...admire nature and society
and all of the terrific creations...

...be honest and genuine, cause
there are too many that are not...

...imagine of escaping this place
and running away to a far spot...

...believe in God and heaven
when I gaze at the stars above...

...hope that there's someone
special in the world to love...
...I like to do a whole lot of other things too, but
these are the ones I wanted to share with you...
I sang the  the paeans of love, all night
"you are such a romantic" my girl said,
morning light, lingered, heard it, got elated,
touched my brow tenderly and said:
"You would make the waves and the shore glad,
wind would waft your songs of love far and wide,
humming leaves would adore you for this lilt,
**love is the force that moves the world, each moment,
sing, sing, let every one wake up and join forces."

DieingEmbers
You arise
as I take your place
to feel your warmth once more,
your pillow still fresh
with scent and dreams
comforts me as I pull tight your sweet embrace
trapped
within soft cotton folds,
smiling as I am all consumed within you
you return and sigh
bending low to kiss once more before leaving
lips that  have yet to speak
for fear the word

goodbye.

As the booming music
from the crowded
student center
attempts to
beat my heart
right out of my chest
I retreat
into my own quietness.

Writing poetry
on a neon yellow
Post-It note
as the college kids
around me
talk about
that awesome house party
last night.

I think about how
I cannot have
the love that I want
but I know someday
I'll have
the love that wants me.

And now
the booming music
does indeed
make my heart race
as my quest for love
pauses
to rave out
to electronica music.

I pump a metaphorical fist
not to party
but to proclaim
that I
am a hopeless dreamer.
Deal with it.

Maybe dub step isn't so bad.
A.D.D. is not a disease.
More like a pest,
just drives you mad.
But does not hurt you,
usually.
Its like you dont ha~~
... Is that bacon?
Smells like bacon...

What was i talking about?

Today I watched a shadow cry
His sleeves were filled with pain
He wept the tears of love gone bad
That left an empty stain

His tears screamed out in silence
For they didn't make a sound
His cheeks were wet with memories
As they tumbled to the ground

Have you ever seen a shadow cry,
When love goes incomplete?
He'll stare into his liquid pain
That puddles on the street

Deep within the puddle's tears
The shadow starts to wade
The love he knew has said goodbye
His reflection starts to fade

Today I watched a shadow cry
As it drifted out to sea
I could feel the pain this shadow felt
For this shadow belonged to me

She sits all alone in an empty room
And silently watches it rain
She draws with her finger, a bride and groom
In her breath that's on the pane

Only twelve years old, and already grown
The chemo caused her to age
She'll never grow up and live on her own
She feels like she's trapped in a cage

She searches the window for locks of gold
Her reflection announces her shame
Her hair is all gone, she starts to look old
The cancer alone is the blame

Her breath once more, covers the glass
As a tear escapes to her cheek
She draws with her finger a stone in the grass
Her body keeps growing so weak

With one last breath she closes her eyes
And listens once more to the rain
She doesn't exhale, the little girl dies
Overcome by her horrible pain

A groom stands alone, frozen in glass
His bride was laid in the ground
Beside him stands a stone in the grass
Where the bride on the window is found
