Small yet significant
tiny but tremendous
life happens all the time.

plant one tree and you help the species
plant two or three
and you have helped birth a forest

I found love in the most unlikely places
and the greatest of blessings in the smallest of things.

to be on a journey
sets free the mind and heart

-the constant

travelling a cosmic road
a spiritual journey

the road unravelling
-each moment.

Sister Moon and brother Sun
water and air cousins all
your flesh is my flesh
and when I dream you dream too
Stars at night to see the way
Mother Earth beautiful globe
holds our hearts one and all
a cosmic romance full of love.

You can look and feel rather small
in the face of it all
given life as a child, only for death
to creep up on your crazy mind
a cosmic secret, shared, finally
with all your relatives and friends.

all the dirt beneath your nails
bad skin of a Toad's poison
a stirring of broth called death
and the laughter of a coven
we all are dancing circles
a witches breath of spells
come closer me dear, closer
you will live forever, dead.

you stalk the sunrise
and I see you there

we turn over
back to the night

back to a sleep
a cradled child

spark from the furnace
a single thought

imagination lights up
hidden realms

you can travel her depths
enter her portals

make of yourself
a craft to sail.

such intimacy
each atom
lovingly cherished

moving in time
rhythmic

a pulse
after the beat

a river forever flowing
around a pebble

a creature sits drumming
in time with the stars.

on a road to forever
a realised being

a creature of dust
transforming

I say I love you like I mean it
but fail to do what you ask.

All I can count on is your love for me
and hope eventually truly love you back.

My sails are set for today
by a crew full of lovers
brimming with goodwill
all creation conspires together
to transport her children
across the seas of turbulence
to arrive on the distant shore
getting closer, closer, closer.

love invites, is willing to weave you into its plan
accepts your offering, blesses your attempts to let love be,
let love through, let love love.

each poetic venture
a brief light
shooting star
across a silent sky.

cynical or realistic
optimistic or wishing

when walking the tightrope
-to have a safety net or no.

you will have to be a bridge builder
to allow love to do its work

the mind drags
all the starry array
into bed a quilt
to sleep
on a pillow moon
and dream-
weave the way
to new adventure
across the Milky Way.

Somewhat invisible, on purpose, and just as well
the mind mystically resides in its castle
- with the drawbridge up
most of the time.

I saw you across the ocean
I could smell the coconut in your hair

children played hide and seek
around and within the trees

the old men were gathered on the shore
and the women laughed at the men

I looked at your ankles brown with Sun
and felt a little embarrassed

soon the envelope of space and time closed
and I waved you goodbye.

I was watching your final wave
and caught the smile on your face
as you were welcomed on the far shore
far shore across the ocean of life
I could see you merge with all the spirit world
and knew you had no regrets
and I could see that I too would travel there one day
to the far shore across the ocean of life.

Across the spring laden fields, where birds flourish,
you can hear the beat of marching drums sounding.
All the centuries of Man generating war to rip the heart
of peace, out the minds and hearts of their children, and
where the frolicking songs of birds are once again, silenced,
across the poppy fields red ripe with the blood of brothers.

I have danced across the rainbow
ran through the silent mist
and found surprise within all hearts
who thought it was all over

You walk across the horizon
the perfume of your garden
mingles with the salt sea air
creating a haze of pleasure-
in minds eye beauty -
unmatched on Earth.

You walk around your garden
singing to the winds-
singing to the flowers-
your singing travels the horizon
in minds eye beauty-
across the sea.

we touch across the spaces
you lift your arm
and I feel its breeze

words writ large
- across the forehead
picture of a crucifixion
- dead to the world.

Tidal thoughts wash up against a cruel indifference
(flotsam and jetsam strewn across all roads travelled)
swimming along a full Moons arc in a sea of forget.

forget the Hollywood take, on anything
be entertained, for sure

remember real life
is so much more

and so much more persevering
than act 1
when the real Romeo and Juliet

finally get it on

to be or not to be was asked of everyone who heard it
most folk got lost in 'doing'

seed
egg
nature
nurture

Unzipped deepest thought
allowed them access
to the light.

the inward dialogue is as personal as it gets
that other world
full of silent chattering wants out
to spread all over your day, incognito,
shown in all your action and rest

Time spun like a clockwork cosmos
someone kept winding the spring.
Except now its battery operated,
still someone keeps an eye on it.
Your parts move with the seasons
and each day and night robotic
your time is not your own
you are only given so much energy
to get done what needs must be done.
But for the contemplative, time is of no concern
and energy is reaped from the silence
the nuclear within each moment
an eternal place within the finite Universe
where no clocks mark off the hours.

its only through people watching you realise what such bad actors we all make.

to engage is to live
to live is to play your part
and no-one can take it from you.

I slip on the day like slipping on a new skin
and wait for sensation to hit the right spot

when a cup of tea is relished
quashed thirst
you will find genuine gratitude

one small act of selflessness
a cup of water

after reading of the spiritual
love permeates all souls

its not rocket science
although charity dwells there too

a kink in the road
an agonising wound

limping in the way
traversing the deep

a single candle flame
a cupped hand

fire in the sky
one star to follow.

a cold monsoon is a daily dose of wet
thin fragile skin covered flesh shivers
a rain dance around the garden naked
everything shrivels all pimpled purple
running rivulets pour out soaking hair
then the Sun comes out taking a peek
leaving rainbows for all the world to see.

someone gave uplift to my wings
carrying me off to the desert

there they spoke to my heart
and it is here that I dwell still

a daily listening
a moments breath.

Someone is making fruit salad;
hell life is over.
I hate snake with fruit.

I can see Adam standing in the garden
looking through the window
He stands hands on hips sturdy
legs slightly apart smiling and I realise
Adam is not looking through the window
he is looking at Eve and smiling and
Eve wears a rose in her hair the one
Adam gave to her this very morning

keeping the demon at bay
cutting the head off the serpent

cream for this and pills for that
where and when did it all go wrong

with a heart in awe
I kneel at the feet
of woman called Eve.

Voices of invisibility
reach my mind

Painted primary colours
archetypal  

Adam sits with Eve
contemplating the tree

While the serpent
seizes the moment

could strip naked and dance
-whilst chanting a mantra
- dancing around a fire in the 45 gallon drum
spitting its sparks in unison with the stars.

a being of dust and ashes
animated earth flesh

a dancer of the universe
making their own music
