this finite road full of potholes
a modern day horse with rubber feet
bouncing from pillar to post in a hurricane
stepping on the gas for the cheap thrill of it
smiling at death awaiting the ultimate changing
the change that will come today or tomorrow.

starshine within the minds
a lion and you sharing

you see the lion as entertainment
you can run but you cannot hide

if you and the lion should meet
you will end up as lion faeces

rivers of red
blue veined

dark pools
closed circuit

warm embrace
dead cold clotted

thoughts adrift
in an endless sea.

Living on the cusp of Holy breath
-a Divine spark

Eternally loved in living tension
-a child of the Universe, a child of God.

foraging down deep in the roots
a woman and man, companions,
yet to experience the pain of life
-childbirth, the sweat and blood
blood and sweat of living.
A paradise before the Fall
that paradise forgotten.
Now a new Adam, new Eve
to not only restore but surpass
all that could ever be believed.

I hobble along, following

as best I can, along with all others
in all their unique ways.

coming back down to Earth
landing on my two clay feet

soon to realise I had only just begun
this man of dust had a way to go

the searching and the finding
the Spirit and the prayer

a confirmation all along the road
the will of God, the will of a man.

jumped in with both feet
-believed in love
and finally took action
-hit the road searching

-and I jumped right on in.

time is a wristwatch

gnashing of teeth
twisted face

marriage is for the most part undertaken by folks

fill a place less travelled, but just as wonderful.

chained to waiting
until second nature
-fused to your soul

silence filling all the gaps

waiting for the voice that sets you free

you ride the daystar and eat its bounty
look up at the moon in wonder

another day and night
you, the creature of greatest mystery.

joined at the hip with the dead
you live with constant reminders
a sober remembrance of fragility
the time you will return to dust.

hammered into memory

flashes of imortalised moments
of all those who died young

as you get older and haunted
remembering to stay childlike.

nothing short of love

that blink of an eye

clay feet plod familiar pathways

the invisible spirit rejoices

empathy is its own personal encompassing unity

cradles her children.

memories made in the womb
voices, some singing,
some not so happy
others a dull thudding
all the myriad of tone

spirals forever unfurling
a galaxy, a flower
children nursed in the womb.

the 'Green' just keeps on manifesting
each leaf each blade finding 'space'
everyone of them 'welcome'
each and eveyone of them 'counted'
all of them set in motion by the hand of 'love'
a breeze of breath from the mouth of 'God'.

each flower sings 'Alleluia'
each Bee 'Amen'

with the hand of silence
I write the sounds of love

each word a heartbeat
each ending a return

to silence
to love.

heady scent
a lovers touch

a yellow vase
bunched flowers

a drink of water
spiritual crystal

the veil is thin
love tokens lavished.

quiet transformation
a flower unfurls

beauty of nature
mirrored beauty in souls

flowers are silent
speaking with other tongues

songs of the meadow
frolicking lambs and calves.

its true I do not know the day or the hour
but when it comes, and for sure it will
