distant stars do their thing
irrespective of our gaze

their fire burns in black
until they too become one with the deep black

many stars have come and gone
taking a guess of course

a hermits candle flame
does the same.

there is nowhere to hide
plenty of places to run to

but ultimately
nowhere to hide

you carry your own baggage
seek your path

and the road will unfold
one way or another

you may not travel far along it
but at least you tried

and trying is all there is
before you depart.

your face carved from a star
travelled a younger universe

unknown to all except God
a silent echo of love

knitted together in womb of woman
seen to be created from afar-

brought near, a spirit
reborn from the invisible.

one more fall-
with experience comes understanding
true freedom waits to bestow the balm
always, forever, without fail or falter.

take the leap

leave it all behind

feel the road beneath your feet

the air fill your lungs

and hear songs leaving your lips

incomprehensible rides the minds
but underneath it all truth rises unstoppable

the momentary limelight fades
leaving the truth staring into all faces
