Current events keeps clashing
with the events of the pass
Leaving me broken and sad
shattered inside like broken glass

A voice keeps saying to me
you know right from wrong
Giving me a clear path to the
keys and melody of Jesus song

Surrounded and tormented by
nothing but darkness and pain
That's a lot of weight for one man
carrying such guilt and shame

Praying to listen and learn how
to pick up my bags to move on
I've decided to climb the tallest
mountain to hear Jesus song

When I really think about it all
there's really no better choice
How cool would it be for a man
standing to hear His sweet voice

I'm asking for forgiveness and a
prayer to keep growing strong
It's time to leave the pass behind
to live by the words of Jesus song
I ask for prayers that could help me to change my life and live for Jesus. I believe it's time for a change, so I claim the change in His name.

You slip another excuse from your blood red lips.
It slithers snake like
flicking its tonge
staring with never blinking eyes
as it climbs up excitedly
strangling me with its obvious deceit.
I accept it regretfully
and slip slowly into blackness as it chokes the air from my pride.
Sure,
next time,
with that salesman's grin on your face.
I just bought a 1982 with a cracked block
and 25% interest.
That giddy smirk on your complexion
it shakes the limp hand of my shameless ignorance.
Still I feel no bliss.
I'd love to see you again you say
bagging up your things
and shaking with anticipation
at the freedom beyond my sight.
My authenticity suddenly becomes pathetic
mirroring your statement
onto a fleeing back.
Now,
my days are spent watching walls
and contemplating loneliness.
The white begins to swirl
pitted pimples capturing old filth.
Its monotone reaches to swallow me whole in the silence
some still blanket grasping.
I'll let go.
It's not that hard to ignore reality
until the cigarette cherry climbs its way to my finger tips
fiery teeth biting.

*Your back,
stay for a while,
Its not like things could get worse than this.
You almost kissed me,
and you shouldn't have.
On the gingham tablecloth in the yellow light,
you lifted me from the counter top onto my feet
putting your hat on my head and tickling my ribs.
You know it's my sweet spot,
leads straight to my heart if you're gentle enough.
I told you to stop and you walked away,
eyes lingering on my bare skin between where my top ended on my waist
and where my dark denim jeans began to hug my hips.
I flipped my hair back around, joining in some conversation too late
between a girl drunk on grape juice and a wedding crasher straggler
in a forest green flannel with camel cigarettes in the pocket.
That's when you came back over and started yelling
some story that happened to you the night before.
You told it well,
the circle captivated, me mesmerized
by how blue your eyes stayed all this time without me noticing.
You  had the whole room laughing with your wit and stupid vernacular,
but I was smiling because you looked so beautiful in those drunken
honest moments
where I recognized the person beneath the banter
where I saw you.
I was saying my goodbyes to the carhartt boys and their one night girls
when you grabbed me by the hand and spun me around
like we were dancing,
pulled me in by your hand pressed on my shoulder blades
the other around my waist
I gasped as your lips almost touched mine,
but then you looked down at me
with those same blue eyes
and took a deep breath,
slowly letting your hands glide down my back then to your sides.
I just stared back at you,
wishing you'd forget the logic and put your hands back where they were,
tracing your lips with that almost kiss,
and I could feel how much you wanted to be in this moment
desperately searching for a way to my lips
but something stopped us.
And I think it was because we knew it would only lead to something messier
than where we were at
it would be a backwards romance, reversing our ***** footsteps
in something we've tried and tried to understand
that it never works out the way either of us plans.
We were both doing so well, moving on
but in that moment we almost gave all that strength up
gave into something too tempting and too wrong.
Because we can't really stay away from each other all that long.
I mean,
you almost kissed me
and you shouldn't have,
but I swear
I wish you would have.

Love is endless, love is patient, love is free, love is blind.
Above all else, love is merciful and kind.
When you are alone, and there's no one to find.
Please remember that you are loved.
The path of your life is still being made, your trail is still being set.
Your hands will be dry as the heat from the sun and often your feet will be wet.
Alone you will work towards a goal not known yet.
In this time remember that you are loved.
And people will trip you just to get ahead, you know of no one you can trust.
Often it feels like your heart and your soul do nothing but gather some dust.
Overwhelmed you'll feel small as a speck in a gust.
Never forget that you are loved.
The hurt will not own you, you're stronger than that, you know this much to be true.
In the end you'll look back at the things you have made and old will again be made new.
You are greater than you can ever believe, if only you could see what you'll do.
One day, you'll know you are loved.
This poem, to me, means more than anything. This is a pep-talk to myself. I need to remind myself every day that someone loves me; that, if no one else, God loves me, so therefore I must love me too. And you, if you're taking the time to read this, need to remember that you are also loved. And special. And so important. Life is a struggle. The path of life has not yet been laid down for you. You will have to make a trail through rocks, deserts, and oceans of disappointment and overwhelming sadness. When it's all over, though, you will look back on your crooked path and see that each footprint, each step, is filled with intense beauty. Do not give up. You can do more than you can possibly imagine. I believe in you.

My feelings burn through my skin.
Darkness is my old friend, and he has come to visit me again.
We sit by the window and drink our tea.
I smoke a cigarette, which is not like me.
But that's what Darkness does.
Brings out all the ugly parts of me, and turns them into beauty
that only it can see.

You want her skin to be like the light from stars shining miles away
In a sky you know nothing of
And her eyes to be gray like storm clouds.
You want her heart to be unexplored
So the map is yours to chart, the land yours to claim, and the life yours to take.
You want her harmony.
You want her voice to be the sounds of a hummingbirds wings,
Sweet like wine on a cool April night
And yet tender like the January wind.
You want the moon.
But the moon is not mine to give away.

If we only have a second
That’s all I’ll ever
Need

To kiss you on the mouth
& stalk your light
as if a moth

If we only have a minute
That’s all I’ll ever
Need

To murmur in your ear
a melody
of why I love you dear

If we only have an hour
That’s all I’ll ever
Need

To pull you in to dance
& teach you
of romance

If we only have a day
That’s all I’ll ever
Need

To sweep you off your feet
& parade
you down the street

If we only have a lifetime
That’s all I’ll ever
Need

To cherish you day by day
until
we’re old and grey

How are you going to tell me about my heart if you've never been in it?

-The lock to your heart is my deep refrain, the path that takes me there may not lead me out again.

Six deadbolts and a wall great like China. Whispering L words while touring my ******. But my heart is not an exhibition. We all seem to love so different, would I just be a sight see should I let you in it?

-Your body is my vacation for exploration, a ticket with no expiration. Head to toe, anywhere on you is my destination. Sight see if thats the thought for you, but to see the sight is what I want to do.  The seductive me wants your toes curled due to warm embrace. My inner dog wants to see your O face.

The wife of a traveler, I print your boarding pass. Cruising along the waves of my saliva; hiking the mountains of my ***. My expedition is one of many, but i think that you should pick it. Theres only one flight departing, and i'm giving you the ticket. The life of an explorer, Oh Captain. The landmarks of my body are for you to conquer and explore. But once you leave your footprint will you set sail from my shore?

-A Brazilian wax or a landing strip, either or it doesnt matter they both point me to your lips. Your shores I see as we watch the sunset, an instinctive kiss, you sigh but its breathless.  As the night falls on this restless traveler, I'll take that one-way red eye ticket; final stop is to have her. I am the Captain of this ship and my journey is unbound, but the question is: when I set sail on your seas will you keep me safe and sound?

Captain, Oh Captain;  I long to be the vessel you navigate. The compass of direction magnetizing towards our fate. All the lonely nights at sea, wont you promise to keep afloat? If you are the propellers, I promise to be the boat. I wish only to fill your soul with warmth and pleasure. I have dived to the bottom of the seven seas, but I have already found my treasure. I want to sail the world with you; full speed until the end of time. But I need to cut your heart out, before I hand you mine.*

-If its yours to replace mine, simultaneously, is a must, because to give you my soul, takes a strong being to entrust, the strongest chess peice, queen to this king, you are my fruit bearer, my last name to follow yours at rear. I'll give you the scissors, but you better cut gently, and if you cut the wrong cord I will not put you down gently.

Oh Captain, Dear Captain, but surely your heart still beats true. Surely the blood is still warm and rich, not deprived oxygen blue. You must understand where I'm coming apart, my intent is not to sever your pretty little heart. I present to you my heart, served on a golden medallion token, But I fear your blood will turn cold once you see that it is broken. Let us not use scissors, the pierce will be too sharp. Let us use our fingers to grip each others heart. I will pump my love through your atriums and ventricles as if they were my own, disregarding any glitches...if you will love my raggedy heart, mending it with stitches

-Your words of kindness, your love not sorrow, pumps through my veins, heart beating days beyond tomorrow. My time will remove the stitches, your heart unscathed, no imperfections, no glitches. Turbulent may be the path ahead, yet a steady path this Captain will tread. Along on this voyage, your light makes bliss, and as long as your heart beats, a beat mine won't skip. I do for you as I won't do for others, fly a path so true, only seen by lovers.

*So we fly to the moon and we never come down. Queen, so pristine, lounging afloat my crown. So then I am the locket, and you are the key. The combination to set the spell free. I'll be your wonder woman; make my body your home. Yours entwined with mine; sultry metronome. The sweet steady beating of your heart is evoking; and if you look once again you will see my heart creeping open.
