Existential crisis- meh
Near And Far Nov 2014
If I had a ship
From which I could see the universe
I would be on it so fast
With no hesitation

Life
Near And Far Nov 2014
This is a line, you see
A single line, so simple
Don't ask questions, please
It just is.

Now draw two more lines.
This is a flower
Your first idea
But remember it's not yours

Seven lines, now.
This is a human
This is you
Draw hair to specify gender

Thirty-two lines
I teach you to draw a box
What's inside the box?
I told you; don't ask questions

But here it has come,
The time to let you draw yourself
But let me tell you how to do it
'It's for your own good, honey'

But there are some things
That cannot be explained
How to shade;
Much too complicated

'Now go draw your own lines'
Go create your own world
Draw love, draw pain
Draw anger, draw patience

There will come a time
When I am no longer
But keep drawing;
It is as you are.

When I feel you come close
I feel your spikes
Sharp like needles
They ***** me

Walking away
Calling me back
'I love you'
Just stop existing

Some times i feel
Like i'm a box
Just a storage space
I'm convenient at the moment

A box does not have legs
A box cannot roll on wheels
Throw me away
It's the only way to leave

Missing Someone
Near And Far Nov 2014
Gray buildings and brick houses
Sunny, cloudless sky
Misplaced trees and hard cement
Dispersed, alone people

4745 miles
6 hours
1 ocean
Away

Cloudy days and cold wind
Tall buildings, think and thin
Cool nights and evening lights
That is the distance between us

In, out.
Deep breath.
Snap, snap.
******* in the face of reality

An open lid
And I can see
Flap, flap
To sets of eyelashes clash

Arm up
Protect your face
Ouch.
It's all you've got

Turn sideways
Shoes on
Stomp, stomp
Out the door

Come back
Go to bed
Fold, fold
Repeat.

Idek not the best poem

You were taught
From a young age
To collect your money
Save for the future

You were taught
From a young age
That anything you can't see
Doesn't matter

And so you go through life
Collecting your money
Being very frugal
Never over-spending

But now comes a time
Where you should spend
Spend the time you
Never did

But old habits run deep
Deeper than bone
And so you continue
To play your medley of insanity

You keep stockpiling
Your pile of material goods
But you ignore
Every one of my cries for help

What are you saving for?
You'll die soon anyways
Live life while you have it
Don't forget it when it's gone

I feel trapped
In these ways
I still have a life to live
And not here, no

When will you stop?
Please
Please
Stop.

Ehhhh some poetry-ish
Near And Far Nov 2014
Tell me can i make a place
A place where no one will ever find me
Tell me can i make a place
Where space and time are nothing

Tell me can i create
A secret new dimension
Tell me can i create
A place to i'm alone and free

Tell me would you discover
My secret inner hidings
Tell me would you discover
The place i would hide forever

Tell me can i start over
It's the only way out
Tell me;
I want to know
I wish i had a secret place

Take my hand, we'll run away
We'll run past the oceans,
Past the continents
We'll run past the earth, too

Hold me tight; it's a rough journey
All these sticks and stones
People pelting us with hate
But we'll make it through

I'll lead you to paradise,
Where no one will ever find us
Floating on clouds, we'll be
Among the angels we dreamed of

We can do anything we wanted to
Nothing with a purpose
Change the world if you want to
There's nothing to it

Dancing among stars
Storytelling to aliens
Pirrouettes of happiness-
You know where to find me

Our world
Near And Far Nov 2014
Silver forests
Green leaves
Violet flowers
You see the beauty of your world?

Red wings
Black eyes
Strong beaks
You see how it goes up and down?

Smooth armor
Many colors
Flexible spines
You see how it creates something real?

Blue tint
Second lungs
Many patterns
You see how it adapts?

Warm fur
Strong bones
Many attitudes
You see how it creates?

Arguments
Crippled sighs
Tears
They make our world beautiful too.

I wonder if days past we'll remember
The time we hid behind you
Standing in your shadow
When we knew you weren't there

I discover every detail, every line
Your scars, blue and black
I recreate your fakery
Into something real

So many of us staring at your back
Unable to see your eyes, your window
We believe we know your ideas
By the colors you wear

I ask of you one small thing-
To protect me from myself
But time adds up
How possible is the impossible?

Going in circles, around and around
Playing a medley of insanity
For a brief moment we meet eyes
But then you join back in

Who is this 'you'?
Who is this 'I'?
We both know there's only time
But not time long enough

What do I say?
I have no emotions
Only a chemical reaction
But you change my imagination

— The End —
