Wearing just
a Toga fashioned from my black satin sheet
and a Tophat
sipping Sirrah out of a champagne flute;

It's been a crazy night.
Played a show after our lead guitarist got arrested
in a situation that reeks of entrapment,
and then, at midnight, it became my roommate's 21st birthday and she requested that people wear togas, so as soon as I got home, I put on this black satin sheet. A friend then opted to get in on the Toga action. So, we looked up various styles of impromptu-togas, and then we decided that wine was in order for this toga-based shenanigan. The other Toga-clad gentlemen then suggested that we drink it out of champagne flutes. Now, here we are: a Toga and a Tophat, sippin' great red wine out of champagne flutes.

and I loved it...
the efficacy,
the efficiency,
obeying, used,
the being used
to muse,
all in one word,
verbed and j'accused,
identifying the culpritess
(for my M-use is
definitively a woman),

I say:
Please baby,
Please bossy,
Please sir,
muse me some more?

M-use me, use-me,
accuse-me, heck,
abuse-me,
my tongue, my lips,
(especially, my lips)
your devoted
poet-servant.

give me spiel,
words to make
them laugh,
groan and squeal,
do me baby,
one mo' time,
the big reveal.

you know I am
exclusive to you,
others get my body,
but only you
get my
my poetic

streams of screams

things I can
never confess,
peeve but at the hinted
whisper of them,
things that weaken me,
in the places
where poems
umbilically
die stillborn,

the chord
connecting
just us two,
it, that chord,
wrapped round
my throat
choking off
my special voice,
cause you want
just those words,
My Muse,
all for yourself

and I can't say no
to
My Muse,
My Conscience

I light a cigarette
and every inhale of
dull, grey, lifeless smoke,
is filled with all
the battles inside my
head that went on
throughout the entire day
It licks my lungs
but I feel it
all around my body
all in my blood
And then I exhale
every little atom of
air that carried some
kind of significance to
how the day went
I do it slowly
so I can watch
the smoke dance in
the stillness of the air
Like my worries are
nothing to worry about
and I have won
the battles of the day

I breathe you in
I know you do me harm
You are thunder in my lungs
Heart
Brain
The taste of what is wrong floods the mouth
Delightful poison
And after
I smell you on my hands
Clothes
Hair
Skin
And I need you again
You are my breath now
The smoke that fills the empty cavern
I just rejoined Hello Poetry after deleting my old account because people I know found it and I like my poems to be *anonymous* as it were

the moon is waxing
the tide is flowing
my soul is coming into estrus

there are no answers
only decisions to be made
actions to be taken

the universe is waiting
courting my being
an invitation to expand

If the ocean were your kisses,
I'd jump off this ship of sorrow with anchors tied to both feet.
I fell in love to the cosmic chaos you stir inside me.
Like colliding planets and falling stars.
