Fish And Fisherman
Mohd Arshad Apr 2014
He sits on the shore.
He gives the best bait
To fish, his friends.
They come to meet him.
They thank him by leaping,
Dancing and sloshing water.
They feed on delicious food.
They lose their freedom
And their life, beautifully.

Do they know they
are enemy in disguise
Or they themselves fool
to satisfy Human nature

Innocence
Mohd Arshad Jul 2014
the pegions fly
over the juicy-leaves-trees,
sitting, swinging, dancing
on the moist laden boughs.
above them, the eagles waft
on the strong wind, intentionally,
gazing at them and plotting
to ****** their golden moments.
the deer makes slow movements
down the meadows, across the pebbles
to quench their thirst
under the sun, blowing with heat.
behind the bushes and around
the lions and the tigers ambush,
and wait for their comeback
to **** them, to chew them.
in the blue heaven innocence
shines intact and angels on duty
maintain their eternity,
and God is always there.

on earth it wants to sing its song,
but we gag it and injure its voice
to slate our desires, our dreams,
to hold the thrones everywhere.

A Lesson For Children
Mohd Arshad Jul 2014
Make paper boats
Of your dreams;

Place them
Down the lanes

When it rains.
Water will flow;

They will float,
Finally will reach

Their destination
Through zigzag ways.

Without nature,
We cant get through.

Children must learn
This in their life.

How can I forget
Those crumbs
Ghee tricking
From between
Your untired fingers
I remember
You would cuddle me
When at sunbeams birth
I would scurry
To recite English Alphabets
And when at my comeback
Rhymes sailing in the mind
And on lips leaping
Yes at the door at dusk
You would shout at my play
Oh I had got my leg sprained
But that was the best cure
How careful wrapping in the quilt
Whenever the chill fanned
And she put me against
Her thumping chest
Where are those days
Where is she
Where am I
They are at home
She is in the kitchen
I am on the rollicking chair
I would I had dropped in your days
My son my dear my heart

Brinjals: imagist poems
Mohd Arshad Oct 2015
The long purple lamps,
Drooping, holding to leafy holders,
Devoid of their own lights;
The fate of separation
From their families,
The diamond in their eyes!
Still, the charm of gardens
Where green bulbs gleam!

a for anger

apple is a fruit

anger is poison

And dies only in isolation

Walking through the dark wood
I much wonder what it feels to be
Like an orphan fawn in its density
When the situations are the kite in wire
And the wind too lashes with its leather
The fear of meeting with the howling lion
As it crosses the rivulet or is there
To slake its thirst in summer and in night
When insomnia strikes hard and no moon
Is to speak to or to chaperon to other side
How to find food and whence in the day
And if stumbled upon, the errants scowl
Too loud that it has to retreat for its breath
Life in the meadows too is confinement
When parents are lost and loss is eidal
Eidal is an Arabic word that means incurable

Hold fast to good
Evil will itself fly away
Like darkness does when the sun rises

Hold it fast till your soul
Completes its journey within you
Or in the flames of your desire it will burn

Being good is holy and holy is heaven
Keep it in your heart to shine
Both in society and in His kingdome

A.. 30... Neighbourhood
Mohd Arshad Apr 2019
In the field of his mind
He had sown seeds
Of massive neighbourhood

Today I watch a giant oak

Sheep shelter there
When the sun is on rampage
And they wish
To take their feet off the pedestal

Bees hang their cottages

Squirrels' sliding is aplenty

Singers from Pakistan and India
Sing their songs in proximity

I'm transformed
I have a desire for this dreamland villa.

A New Song Of 'Thank You'
Mohd Arshad Sep 2014
The moonlight was sieving
over the dews-sipped grass;
the flies, in their elements,
zoomed with a flourish
and belted out a song of praise:
the orchard is rich in sweetness,
the young apples are juicy,
the branches are the cradles,
and the leaves are fluffy couches.
God be praised for this blissful beauty,
God be praised for this feast.
we visit this place
when the sun retires to bed,
and the moon lit the path.
O Almighty!
this is for you
'Thank You'
for the silvery lamp!
O Almighty!
this for you
'Thank You'
for the soft sofas!
O Almighty!
this is for you
'Thank You'
for the comfy swings!
O Almighty!
this is for you
'Thank You'
for the luscious fruits!
O Almighty!
Thank you for this song
that flew passed through our lips!

What does it matter
Mohd Arshad May 2016
That day the rain had knocked at my window
And you, in a pink frock, took me to the street

Arms in arms, we ran, slipped and laughed
Like kids in shorts rejoicing each droplet

On a white horse you had leapt as it raced
And I froze thy smile in a selfie, kissing thy neck

We had fried chicken in a motel, rain still falling
And you crept to me, with a little bit shivering

Today pattering is very high and I, at my window
Leafs through Romance in Rain  at quick speed

On the table you are smiling and I am in your fold
And outside the roads are bleak like wilderness

You would have sipped the splashing moment
Bringing me close to your lips, waiting to be doused

A Message
Mohd Arshad Jul 2014
I stand aloof
when the muddy water
makes its own way, flowing.

this keeps my dress decent,
and no stain anywhere.

I wear deafness
when backbitting bubbles
in a street everywhere.

this keeps my heart empty
of ill-feelings of others.

this is a message,
my children, yes, my children,
never go out when the sun has sunk.

this is a message,
my children, how to shine on society.

Assembly Manners
Mohd Arshad Aug 2015
I saw a boy standing out of line
He was grimacing to see the sultry shine;
I saw a kid and his colourful tie
Between his teeth like a long pie;
I saw a girl, very fatty, slowly combing
And her cliff, stuck out of pocket, moving;
I saw a senior boy and his pants only tight jeans
He had come here for catwalk it surely means;

I saw a another girl pricking her classmate
With her long nails polished at high  rate;
I saw two boys playing pushing game
For them saying prayer was a shame;
This was a momentous assembly I attended
And hope to visit here again but it will be mended!

A Prose Poem
Mohd Arshad Sep 2015
Taste has a relation with our tongue! The latter is a perfect example of God's grandeur scattered around in different shapes! This is a flexible spoon! Whatever you wish for it carries down the throat: Apples, papaya, nuts, pulses, toffees, vegetables and even chicken fry! Work easily done! No pain! No itching! No coughing!
Does it take poetry in too? Stupid question! You will say! Ya! This is the matter of the soul! Question right! But the soul doesn't tell this is bland, salty, sweet or pungent! Its tongue works invisibly! You must tell at least how poetry is! This is like butter! This is like cheese! This is only dry fruits! None will utter anything even the lovers of poems!
They say this is something heavenly! Its taste can't be described! This is the special taste for the soul! How! Now words!

Lamb And Snow
Mohd Arshad Mar 2014
God made lamb white.
God made snow white.

What are they for?
The thought sprang to my mind.

My education of relegion said to me,
"Only God knows better.
Only God knows better."

I harboured snow on my palm.
I brought the lamb to my home.

I followed my wisdom.
I followed faith in Him.

I am the happiest person on earth!

To weave our honest love
In memorable verses, so perpetual.

They would fly
Across the time, across the space.
In the bright and dark sky they would echo.

I fail to find
The most precious words
To describe thy true feelings for me.

Oh! I sigh; I much cry
To see my utterly fiasco.

Death
Mohd Arshad Jun 2016
Death is a classic clatter,
A primeval pattering
Or The ringing
Of Adam's house.

It patters
On every roof,
On every raod
And on every field.

At my door,
It rings,
At your window too,
As at your neighbor's.

The echo
OF our father's doorbell,
And the same
Is in space.

It reverberates
With the sun,
And when
Hollow is dark.

Let Us Remember
Mohd Arshad Feb 2014
Let us always remember
Soft words are our virtue
When they are spoken
The Almighty showers His mercy
And society harbours us in its *****

Let us always remember
We are beauty of the earth
Greenry is our truth
When it shines in its praise all do sing
And happiness flows everywhere

Let us always remember
Our immortal foe is ego
Our friends it feigns to be though
It makes us fall to the ground
While we groan it takes delight in our wounds

Mohd Arshad Mar 2015
Let us depart,
Though the orchard is full of roses,
And to the bench we are bound!

Let us depart;
Time is a disciplined man,
Its strictness will surely strike us,
And we can't stay here anymore!

Let us depart
For separation is law of heaven,
And ere it is too late to bid farewell!
