A Message
Mohd Arshad Jul 2014
I stand aloof
when the muddy water
makes its own way, flowing.

this keeps my dress decent,
and no stain anywhere.

I wear deafness
when backbitting bubbles
in a street everywhere.

this keeps my heart empty
of ill-feelings of others.

this is a message,
my children, yes, my children,
never go out when the sun has sunk.

this is a message,
my children, how to shine on society.

The Clock: An Imagist Poem
Mohd Arshad Jun 2015
In our family,
Since generations,
Like a son or a daughter,
She is with us each moment!
No grouse, nor high-pitched,
Only in whispers speaks
And always on standby!

A Prose Poem
Mohd Arshad Sep 2015
Taste has a relation with our tongue! The latter is a perfect example of God's grandeur scattered around in different shapes! This is a flexible spoon! Whatever you wish for it carries down the throat: Apples, papaya, nuts, pulses, toffees, vegetables and even chicken fry! Work easily done! No pain! No itching! No coughing!
Does it take poetry in too? Stupid question! You will say! Ya! This is the matter of the soul! Question right! But the soul doesn't tell this is bland, salty, sweet or pungent! Its tongue works invisibly! You must tell at least how poetry is! This is like butter! This is like cheese! This is only dry fruits! None will utter anything even the lovers of poems!
They say this is something heavenly! Its taste can't be described! This is the special taste for the soul! How! Now words!

Assembly Manners
Mohd Arshad Aug 2015
I saw a boy standing out of line
He was grimacing to see the sultry shine;
I saw a kid and his colourful tie
Between his teeth like a long pie;
I saw a girl, very fatty, slowly combing
And her cliff, stuck out of pocket, moving;
I saw a senior boy and his pants only tight jeans
He had come here for catwalk it surely means;

I saw a another girl pricking her classmate
With her long nails polished at high  rate;
I saw two boys playing pushing game
For them saying prayer was a shame;
This was a momentous assembly I attended
And hope to visit here again but it will be mended!

What does it matter
Mohd Arshad May 2016
That day the rain had knocked at my window
And you, in a pink frock, took me to the street

Arms in arms, we ran, slipped and laughed
Like kids in shorts rejoicing each droplet

On a white horse you had leapt as it raced
And I froze thy smile in a selfie, kissing thy neck

We had fried chicken in a motel, rain still falling
And you crept to me, with a little bit shivering

Today pattering is very high and I, at my window
Leafs through Romance in Rain  at quick speed

On the table you are smiling and I am in your fold
And outside the roads are bleak like wilderness

You would have sipped the splashing moment
Bringing me close to your lips, waiting to be doused

Death
Mohd Arshad Jun 2016
Death is a classic clatter,
A primeval pattering
Or The ringing
Of Adam's house.

It patters
On every roof,
On every raod
And on every field.

At my door,
It rings,
At your window too,
As at your neighbor's.

The echo
OF our father's doorbell,
And the same
Is in space.

It reverberates
With the sun,
And when
Hollow is dark.

I Miss Thee
Mohd Arshad Feb 2014
I do miss thee I do feel thee
                In the mistly golden morning
When the gentle  breeze flutes thy
Sweet verses and flow within me

I do miss thee I do feel thee
               When the snowflakes shower
                 Softly and touch my cheeks
And to lose thee the fears flee

Lamb And Snow
Mohd Arshad Mar 2014
God made lamb white.
God made snow white.

What are they for?
The thought sprang to my mind.

My education of relegion said to me,
"Only God knows better.
Only God knows better."

I harboured snow on my palm.
I brought the lamb to my home.

I followed my wisdom.
I followed faith in Him.

I am the happiest person on earth!

If
your eyes
catch the sunrise in the mist,

If
your hands
hold the moonlight in the dark,

If
your legs
walk on the holy stones in the temple,

If
your mouth
opens to speak water in the lake,

Remember
you are beautiful
among the people on the earth.

I have a God
Like yours
And he is one!

I have a sky

And with you I live!

I will sleep on dust
And you will come next
And others will follow!

At his court,
When all meet,
Poetic justice at its best!

Love marriage
Mohd Arshad Apr 2014
Love marriage is not a delicious thing
Sometimes It is a little bit more salty
And more pungent than is required
To be easily galloped

The couple are not contented with the stuff
For both had told their own earlier
Then it was beautiful snow fallng in the moonlight
And the romantic raindrops kissing the blossoms

Now it is hackneyd or cliche
Or a haggard leaf crawling not to be liked

Here ushers in pain that is suppressed
And peevish get their nature and
Both lose their cool so soon
And It happens daily till they bid adieu to each
Or one of them kicks ths bucket

I dream; I dream
To weave our honest love
In memorable verses, so perpetual.

They would fly
Across the time, across the space.
In the bright and dark sky they would echo.

I fail to find
The most precious words
To describe thy true feelings for me.

Oh! I sigh; I much cry
To see my utterly fiasco.
My beloved! Forgive me; I do beseech.

Let Us Remember
Mohd Arshad Feb 2014
Let us always remember
Soft words are our virtue
When they are spoken
The Almighty showers His mercy
And society harbours us in its *****

Let us always remember
We are beauty of the earth
Greenry is our truth
When it shines in its praise all do sing
And happiness flows everywhere

Let us always remember
Our immortal foe is ego
Our friends it feigns to be though
It makes us fall to the ground
While we groan it takes delight in our wounds

How swiftly spring and summer have elapsed.
Old age is pilgrimage

Giving is the replica
Of the heavens' blessings!
The candle burns
For light for others!
We always water trees
As they provide us with fruits!
Giving and receiving
Are complementary,
And so giving
And being thankful!
My teacher, my gratitude
To hold my thread
In the rough wind
And when it was not anywhere!
My teacher, my gratitude
To keep thy halo on my head
When I was alone on the road
And the sunshine was sleeping!
My teacher, my gratitude
To plant goodness within me
And give it sweet odour
That will spread for everyone!

In a sallow field,
Leaves wearing shorts,
Splash in a tiny stream,
Water sleeping in its bed,
Gravels full of sheen,
And peeping out,
Heat upticking,
With the sun in its elements,
He, aloof from his family,
And contracted with dryness,
Desirous of guzzling,
Drew back his gaping mouth,
And stood for  a while,
As the herd of dear
Came and ended up drinking,
And he, watching like a Shepherd,
Waited and waited
Till they drank enough
And left very little
And he, glad to get his turn,
Glistened his throat
And raced towards his house,
Neighing like a jovial lamb!

I am the bird, but crow.
Blessed with black, i know.

I belong to the pageant of birds
Which are called by many words.

I do sing my own lay;
I also welcome the day.

I fly; i rejoice in the breeze.
I play; i leap in the trees.

I take delight in spring.
I like snow, falling.

Alas! I am not hailed at the door.
They shoo me away to soar.

I am cursed; i am much hated,
For i am black, so ill-fated.

Mohd Arshad Aug 2014
In the moonlit-park,
I caught snow, falling.

It melted away within my palm;
I feel its freezing moments.

I hit a young butterfly,
flying over my delicious cake.

my kid crushed it down,
and tears touched my cheeks.

I snared a sparrow on the roof;
It passed away in the cage.

we buried it at the door,
and I cry to see its grave.

they **** tigers and their springs.
no regret, no cry, no tear!

is the modern heart a hard stone
or they have thrown away humanity?
