You're progressive; and so you must denigrate
our triumphant victorious candidate.
Yes, you shot off your mouth.
Now you're trapped to the south
of the land where you promised to emigrate.

Before your resolve starts to stall,
you must heed the Canadian call.
Pack your bags and go forth
to your home in the north.
(or climb over that Mexican wall).

It's the END ! Now the Right will resurge,
and a new coalition emerge.
A Canadian rental
might help with your mental
well-being. We'll play you a dirge.
Hey folks --
there are some good deals on flights to most major Canadian cities right now. Discounts are being offered if you cry and stamp your feet then use foul language to insult our new president Donald Trump. Use the word "misogynistic" and you get free drinks and a window seat!
Bon voyage ☺

I had a moment in the sun,
Sort of like an epiphany,
A golden bridge laid ahead,
Our future awaits.

It was a cleanse of the mind,
And now I am aligned,

The universe speaks,
It teases, it shows,
It leaks, it oozes,
Invisible love.

Follow it,
Let the guidance,
Take you over,
Let it be natural,
Like the flow of water.

Humanity i love you
because you would rather black the boots of
success than enquire whose soul dangles from his
watch-chain which would be embarrassing for both

parties and because you
unflinchingly applaud all
songs containing the words country home and
mother when sung at the old howard

Humanity i love you because
when you’re hard up you pawn your
intelligence to buy a drink and when
you’re flush pride keeps

you from the pawn shop and
because you are continually committing
nuisances but more
especially in your own house

Humanity i love you because you
are perpetually putting the secret of
life in your pants and forgetting
it’s there and sitting down

on it
and because you are
forever making poems in the lap
of death Humanity

i hate you

Dorothy Parker
Too long and quickly have I lived to vow
The woe that stretches me shall never wane,
Too often seen the end of endless pain
To swear that peace no more shall cool my brow.
I know, I know--again the shriveled bough
Will burgeon sweetly in the gentle rain,
And these hard lands be quivering with grain--
I tell you only: it is Winter now.

What if I know, before the Summer goes
Where dwelt this bitter frenzy shall be rest?
What is it now, that June shall surely bring
New promise, with the swallow and the rose?
My heart is water, that I first must breast
The terrible, slow loveliness of Spring.

It wasn't love at first sight. It was the opposite. It was slowly and beautiful. Like a sun rising in between two mountains or a flower slowly opening itself to the world.

I don't know when it happened, but with every tired sighs, blinking of eyes, and all the moments in between, I let the waves take me further to where you were. Suddenly, being alone was something I could not remember. Oh and my hands? They have always held a book or a pen, but they now crave for your hands instead. And I don't know why, but whenever you're not here, I can still smell your perfume and I can't help but look for you in the room. Whenever people ask me what my favorite color was, I would say "Pink", but when I saw your eyes, it has been my favorite ever since.

It wasn't love at first sight. It was something I witnessed unravel before me. It was you. And like slow sunsets and blooming flowers, my heart swelled at the onrush of the scenery.
Away from home in academia
***, philosophy and religion
I’ve been skeptic about all these years
revels  of hell in lost memories

couldn’t be a new dialect for spring
turn **** with refreshing ******

I still wander in my mind with fire
but  no heat or light, sterile emotion
routs the spirit to live making
all presences dark and absence

fears are no bread from heaven
nor unfilled emptiness any sky

yet the eagle flies with wide eyes
nose opened to stinking patches
the mud-  and ghostscapes that yield
mandate for dreams wrapped in nightmares:

I live preying for liberation
and decay with divinity

Put past
The pretence of protection.
Propagandising
her preciousness
is prohibited -
proprietorial
preparation
for *******.
Parents paw
the pretty pretty
Pa approves the partner
partner plucks the petals,
proclaiming
‘She pleases me,
pleases me not’ -
matters not one jot.
Pet and preen
her perilous perfection
a prophylactic
precaution,
in place
of progression,
promotion,
professional appreciation.
Proud paternalistic patter
imprisons.
Presidents pronounce
on *****,
parroted by ******
and pissheads.
Petty, pathetic
and petrified
of power,
placing people
in parentheses
participating
in playground politics.

I’m sick
that this
paralysis
persists.
Past to present,
passed down
passed over
passed off
as perfectly
practical, natural,
a place for everyone
everyone
in place.
Please.

Parade our pride
in pyrotechnic protest
in partnership perpetual,
productive, progressive
people
as people
as people,

powerful
and equal.
