and so i take another shot,
and pretend its all bliss.
pour another round,
until I see your cherry lips.
taste your wine,
and take another trip.
chase the whiskey,
and move those hips.
run all out of liquor,
but she begins to strip.
empty my gin its alright,
i begin to lose my grip
one more bottle,
but she begins to slip,
three more shots,
and my mind is eclipsed.
bottom's up

she's a renegade,
she plays by her own rules.
yes she's sweet,
but my heart,
to her,
is a fool.

sometimes,
when i'm lonely,
i think about,
her.

when the heavens open
and i'm out here in the pouring rain.
i want you to pull me up,
and tell me you feel the same.

we always talked
about how far we could go
we always said
that no matter what
we'll make it together
but yet
the universe isn't kind
so whilst i went on
you were stuck behind
so now i've made it
but you're not here
i'm dancing in the sky
whilst you're struggling to fly.
it's not the same when you don't make it together

So I'll stay young,
I guess I'll be free.
Sitting around drunk whilst,
People are getting their college degrees.

So I'll stay young,
Everybody's finding love.
They've all got homes,
While I'm still sleeping rough.

So I'll stay young,
The years they roll on by.
Everyone has kids,
And a nine to five.

So I'll stay young,
Everybody's getting old.
Weighted blankets,
So they don't get cold.

So I'm still young,
Never got the chance to live.
Why did I choose this,
When I had so much to give?
Growing old is mandatory, growing up is optional

if it all goes south,
like the weather.
when it just hurts now,
like whatever.
if it doesn't work out,
for the better.
if it all goes wrong,
let's go to heaven.

because it just ain't right,
without you.
