Winter kisses blown from the whimsical side of my heart
as the snowflakes dance in the light of day, I dream
of castles in the sky and  angels all aglow in snow;
Feathered wishes as light as flakes
I love the way sunlight slants and shakes
the child in me is wide awake
Winter blessings sewn together on this January month
when the snowfall carpets the ground like a gown
the silence turns golden and my heart is light
Downy thoughts of wintertime
I hear the church bells chime
sounding so sublime
Winter spells of magic my eyes have seen the view
I love winter how about you ?
Adrift her world no obstacles no dreams to moor, immobilized and still
she sailed through stardust particles then glode into the nil
Into the fire of night she tousled through, by daylight saving time a strew
a scattering of stars appeared leading her inside a flower garden made for two;
The scent of Angel trumpets, gardenias, evening primrose
blended with a fragrant voice, she simply had no choice
as she pressed her little hand against the lunar soil's embroil,
foam flowers, chocolate daisies, and Liliums appeared;
A shift, then suddenly beyond the reach of earth a blessed gift of lift
she flew inside that dwelling place where benevolent souls ignite;
Fawning love plush against the evening breeze
even stars of night choose their light protease
when a small child enters an evening Kingdom,
like a Grandiflorus cactus, falling backwards into time...
where is the wisdom
of my earlier worlds
giving me the illusion
I knew what I was saying

the years since then
have taught me insights
       unexpected  inconvenient
the wisdom of old age  maybe

yet I don't find again
the certainty of youth
forever lost
in the complexities of living
Her eyes bespoke
à depth untouched,
an allure of sensual
mystery that she kept
locked inside.

We married, but sadly,
I never found the key
to unlock the voided
recesses of her walled
citadel, containing the
inner depths of unselfish
love and beauty that I'd
hoped resided there.
She remained a self-absorbed
isolated Island unto herself.
Looks alone can be very
deceptive. Too often beauty
is only skin deep. She has
been married 4 times and
no man has found the key.
Keys cannot unlock what
is not there.

She lived out her entire life in Manchester
Except for a few exotic months
When she fell in love

She followed that love down to Australia
But missed her dear old mum
And came home to take care of her

As far as I know she never saw that love again
And she never stopped taking care of her mum

She’d tell me tales of late night
Trams missed in Blackpool
Sent away on trains amidst the blitz
And later nights out dancing at the Ritz

Sometimes she’d be talking to me
Sometimes my Dad
Sometimes her brother Joe
I wasn’t bothered

She could talk to me for hours
All I’d need do is brew the tea

I loved her
And I’m grateful she loved me

I really didn't mean it, promise I never even seen it
done it accidentally on purpose instead
when its comes to purpose, I’m renowned for being earnest
besides you secretly enjoy being completely misled

accidentally on purpose, accidentally on purpose
rules don’t have the same applicability
its only just a circus, when its accidentally on purpose
its a far lower threshold of culpability

don't do me this disservice, it was accidentally on purpose,
please consider when apportioning blame
when its accidentally on purpose, almost doing you a service
the blame is not even close to the same

There’s a thing called caveat emptor, its supposedly there to protect ya
sadly not against other’s intentionality
when its accidentally on purpose, this rule’s completely out of service
tis writ in the annals of human morality

accidentally on purpose, accidentally on purpose
usual rules they just don't apply,
accidentally on purpose, that’s why you cannot deter us
it permits me to self-indemnify
