The crowds gathered where she had fallen
she laid there still on the ***** city street
her eyes were dark, tears mixed with dust
this metropolis had taken her life and trust

She thought it would be warm in the city
but the cold reality proved her blindness wrong
all her hopes and dreams evaporated
as did the sweat from her pallid face

The city folk just looked at her
non wanted to help her
it's that thing in big cities
it's not my problem syndrome

How old was she you ask
should that really matter
she was a women in distress
and I wish the city had never called her

Now it is on my conscience
why did I call her
why did I call her
to disappointment and death

When we awake, my love
Our eyes will meet
Whisk us to forgotten pasts
Both Innocent and sweet

Ageless love, no crease of time
Conversation pours like wine
Like Virgins hearts first entwined
Endless desires forever defined

As waking hours hands weaken
And patience is out of sight
A fog may set upon our land
Just give a kiss goodnight

Deep down, dreams will reminisce
And lay adrift a cradled breath
Forever knowing, when we awake,
our eyes will meet

Where does the night go to cry in New York City
Whose finger print is that upon the moon*
Who kisses the stars and shows them pity
To the forever distant tune

Whose selling souls in the land of plenty
Backing out on promises they've made
Buying the beggar off with no more than pennies
While spitting on the unmarked graves

Who gives a voice to the silence
Where does memory turn when it forgets
When the strong ones fall who picks up the pieces
Where do the dying place their bets

If the fool reaches for the hand of wisdom
At that moment does he cease to be a fool
If the night could hear, would it even listen
*And would it stop crying if it knew

Just a glimpse of your pretty smile
Makes any day I have worthwhile
When I'm with you I'm filled with love
You remind me of the stars above
You wear that pretty summer dress
Your fragile heart I will caress
The golden fields in which we lay
My love for you I show today
Lust for you I must confess
Feeling things I can't express
Dreams, submarines, and doilies too
Tonight I'll be right here with you
Separate us I dare they never
I wish to be with you forever

wounded
the air swelters
as i remain static
and my chest
has become the shoreline
where the sea of your breast
heaves in and out
in a vicious tide
your impulsive moans
are the roar of waves
as they crash against me
but your rage lulls
into a sensual surf
the fluid undulations
let us fully appreciate
the carnal curves
of protruding skin
the untouched stones
smoothened on my strand
and the floor of your ocean
yet you pacify even further
before your waters still
and rest calmly
in steady breaths
on my elated sands

Suffocating

Tears fall like raindrops
Like leaves fall from trees
Birds sing their melody
As they fly into the sky
Oh the beauty of nature
It seems so fascinating
The endless fresh air
But still I find myself

Suffocating.

She draws a narrow black line
On the outside of her eye.
"It keeps me awake", she said
But that was merely a lie.

Eyelashes covered thick,
Defined and long
To even-out the contrast
Of that black line she put on.

The day rolls by slowly,
That black line starts to fade.
Her eyelashes erode,
Yet no notice has she made.

She spies her reflection,
Screams for a bathroom - or a booth?
It isn't that long before
She discovers the truth.

There was no narrow black line
On the outside of her eye,
Though she still looked beautiful
And it eased her troubled mind.
Wrote this a few years back, it's hardly a literary work of genius but special to me none the less.

America I protest against  ******* the ******* of your discontent  served on the soiled platter of racism your womb cradled me from birth and taught the lyrics MY COUNTRY TIS OF THEE SWEET LAND OF LIBERTYover you I've cried  place where in the CIVIL WAR and what war or fight is ever civil? my black forefathers all rejected men of color died on the soil of this country fighting what they thought at the time was a gallant war  at ABRAHAM LINCOLN'S behest and for the STARS AND STRIPES of THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA O MY COUNTRY your dark slave sons fought and died with honor  and yet even now 150 years later we are still in ******* to the new plantation in the ghetto called the bank mortgage company  hidden interest rates and there are city areas that for certain you dare not go while Black or the police stop and ask if your lost and show your ID and what is your business in the area the stand your ground law applies mainly to people of color and openly gives whites permission to gun down blacks and walk away free of any punishment are we free in this great land not yet and if you don't believe me think about how the cities and even the WHIE HOUSE say that we have a transparent government  and yet laws and public concerns are discussed behind closed chambers or doors and passed with secret vote  or voice vote without public inclusion and yet we pay taxes to be shut out or fed political lies by those whom we've elected to office to serve us and not their own pet projects and desires are we free yet,not yet.

AYE,
I’m about to take ya back in time
A heartless little boy with a beautiful mind
A diamond in the rough, society been trying to find
Gives his mama a hard time but she the reason why he grind
Never worries about stress…PSH, sorry for lying
A place in action, they all constantly ask him, “Why you write with so much vigor? So much passion?”
Try to unmask him, but he locked like Rikers
He’s not selfish with his thoughts
He’s just a silent writer.
Who puts his words on the line, but writes like he’s fine…
If simplicity is a crime
Put him down for a lifetime
Talking sunsets, no regrets, kinda mindset
Can look at a beautiful woman and not only think ***, weight on his shoulders but heart beat works the pecks
Yearning for future earnings
Drive to be New York Cities next
Even at best, puts everything into one quest…gives everything his all and not an EFFORT…less (haha)
He’s use to the people just sleeping on him. DEAR GOD! The lord just beating on him
Cause he aint went to church in…lord who knows?
He just sips for the highs and makes music on the low,
Red light, Green light, Dougie, it’s time to go!
Ya seconds to fame started about an hour ago
You need to cut the bad habits if you want ya flower to grow,
Stay humble in your journey, that’s good for your soul,
Ya never too old to make a new goal, just remember life if a highway and we all gotta pay the toll.
Spreading love with each verse, even if haters start to curse
Cause they best efforts can’t compete with you at your worst,
No reason for bragging, in they face laughin…use they words as motivation, hard work is everlasting (echo out)
LEAVE THE WHOLE WORLD, "WHEN'S HE COMING BACK?" THEY KEEP ASKING! (EXPLOSION EXIT)**

I was only ten
Why me
I stood there as my mother showed me the letter
It said "there is a 99.9% chance he is NOT the father"
The man I called "daddy" so long wasnt mine anymore
The man who I adored so much wasnt mine
But I couldn't dwell on that moment because what was next was the real pain
From that moment on everything who I thought I was WASNT MINE
And all I really wanted was something to call my own
But my name wasnt mine
My identity wasnt mine
My race wasnt mine
I became unsure of who I really was
So now I'm just an epitome of what everyone else wants me to be
Only because I'm insure of who I am
Unsure of what to call my own
I just want someone who I know 100% is mine
Someone or something that 100% can be MINE
Fatherless pain uncertainty fear emotion
