You asked me why I stopped
talking to you. I told you a half
truth, but really it was because
I was sick of hearing you hate
everything in existence
(c) Brooke Otto 2013
I have over two-thousand poems
free of the word ****,
so believe me, I don't say ****
because it's fun,
it's an emotion, but yet,
it's a social construct.

Don't tell me he didn't call me and scream,
over and over into the phone,
at 4 am,
"****, I ****** up
I'm so sorry, ****.
I swear to God,
I'll never **** up again,
just please don't ******* leave me
because you're the only ******* thing
I have left."

Because he did.
And sometimes,
after you find out
he just can't keep his lips off of
that girl's face,
the only word that comes out
is ****.
have i found you?
have i finally found love?
after a long time of nothingness
is this it?

a person
who actually sees the true me?
a person who gives me butterflies,
when I talk to them
someone I can take to the Netherlands with me?
Or just talk about the most random things
and it would still be okay

Have I found thee?
Or am I hallucinating?
I feel like I found you
A magnificent person
An indescribable human being
With great intelligence
Who enjoys being themselves
And doesn't mind talking to a lame kid
I think you are it
I feel like I found someone
To obsess over
Just wrote something to ease myself off of the headache and to focus on the better things in life... Have a nice vacation everyone! :)
If I told you I wrote this poem for you
Would you start loving me?
Craving me the way I crave you
Go insane
Live in a world where nothing else exists
Do everything to make me understand
Fail but keep trying
If I told you I wrote this poem for you
Would you instantly run into my arms?
Kiss my lips and stare at the stars
Forget the world
Forget yourself
Yet somehow remember
What I was wearing the first day we met
If I told you I wrote this poem for you
Would you spend your days thinking about me?
Coming up with excuses just to see my face
Go to the same coffee shop
Hoping for me to show up
Note down ‘Spiced latte, no sugar’
Just so if the day comes
You know what I would order
If I told you I wrote this poem for you
Would you start dreaming of the future?
A small chapel by the sea
Gathered friends and family
Vows and bells
Our kid’s show and tell
A family portrait hung on the wall
If I told you I wrote this poem for you
Would you be mine forever?
Let me die in your arms
Happy and loved
If you would
Then my love
I wrote this poem for you

(Kathmandu, Nepal 12/22/2013)
Today I completed 23 years,
It's been a really long time,
Since I shed any of my tears,
Even when I felt like crying.

Though blessed with rebirth,
I used to feel forsaken in life.
Sulking in the sadder shades,
Escaping to the blues felt easy.

Tears stayed behind the lids.
Imploding into myself forever,
Singing the saddest of songs,
Ever felt the sadness to stay?

That day I met you in myself,
I had felt like meeting myself.
Slow & steady, we come closer.
Especially for me, you descend.
Tears of loneliness held back by a mature conscience,
I had feared for myself, staying unsatisfied forever.
You have come like a promising dream to me,
How may I be thankful enough to you ever?

I thank you, my friend, for descending in my life as the greatest constant there ever will be in my life.

Thank you.

Diamond ring from the one I love
Christmas happened early this year
He is my prince, my forever
Happy that we're together
Excited for the future

In a weird-happy mood and wrote this. Haha :)
love
yet much more
the color of
mango orange
lotus flower
that i am sure
in the name of
the father and
the son
made from
the hands of
almighty
God
oh what treasure
you are
all the love
that comes from thee
yet so much more
through your
lavander blue-black
butterfly wings
reflect
your sweet
moonlight eyes
