Its finally gone
My october blues
Nothing left to dwell on
We don't need one more excuse
November is now rolling out
Its going to be december cheer
What was yesterday's homework all about?
I'll be smiling ear to ear
How are you today?
I am very glad
Don't you just want to jump and scream YAY!
It's nice to have spent these lovely months with such a dashing lad

Four Skin and Seven Years Ago

When I was older
so much older than today
I needed everybody's help
in oh so every way

old shriveled shrunken parts
quite near the tombstone row
glassy eyed lawn dart throwers
never ever sitting on go

ghosts of Lincoln's Hillsborough
shrieking for their master
constant fear of letting go
their hearts beating ever faster

please bring me a piece of peace
throw fate to the wind
a sprinkling of my Fur Elise
only has she never sinned

Angry

Angry birds drop rolling stones
angry words break lovers hearts and bones
angry voices have ugly tones

my footsteps
were met
with the echo
of my steps

figures
apparitions
lost souls

every corner
porch front
driveway

the moon frowned
or perhaps smiled
as I met its mood
eye to eye

dead end
dead friends
dead dreams

bad vibes
a bad time
waiting down the street

for me

pulling
somehow enchanting

demeaning
full of meaning

I stopped
I shook
I turned

and walked back toward the lights

She brings me morning coffee and tissues
(Tissues, ostensibly a coaster)
for she knowing.

Poetry,
I am writing,
needing then,
to wipe up
the spilling
tears.

Which of the mysteries within this poem
need answers?
All or None.

I fought so hard just to hold on
and now I strain at letting go
my mind wont budge against the pull
of my heart at the end of the rope
