I hear the voices cry
from a long time ago
blowing through the wind
on a broken trail of tears
where we still held the pride
through unforgotten years

I see the faces in agony
in a dark vision's past
that once thought would die
of a pain I can't let go
on a Spirit wind I ride
through an endless sky
that I can no longer hide

Through a Warriors eye's
I see what is to be
of times that won't last
where our people will rise
and will remain strong
from all that was wrong
that only made us live again

You feel inside the pain
a love you can't deny
the tears that stain
now fall from your eyes
words that were only lies
from all that was spoken
with nothing to remain
a heart torn and slain
left bleeding and broken
with no reasons why
your dreams worn and bitter
that you thought long ago
would only get better
now fall like rain
bleeding from the sky
with screams that echo
the sound of thunder
lost in love's plunder

I know this to be true
if we want to make it through
together as one we must stand
and united we will never fall
it's the beauty of it all
when we join together in hand
to face this reality that is real
we can never change what was in the past
but we can make a future last
and for those who don't like it
we can tell them to kiss our ***
though we'll remember and never forget
know that we are here still
and we have to look ahead
because our dreams are there instead
to stand for our Native pride
what we were born with inside
I can see a storm come to pass
on this holy sacred land
where our Ancestors bled
and so many thousands died
but though they may be gone
their Spirit's are strong and live on
because they fought for our Native pride

We are all of Earth's children
we are all the keepers of time
we are all Spirit's made of Heaven
that makes one another shine
all things we have are not given
they are ours only just to borrow
there is not no yours or mine
nothing here belongs to not just one
but for all of every living kind
what we use was meant for us to share
and for another generation we must leave behind
for the future of their tomorrow
no man owns the waters land or the air
the morning does not rise the sun
only for one to look at it's beauty
we are all in this together through Unity
when the human race becomes blind
it is up to us to help them see
this world was made for you and me
and for every animal Creator has made
it is not only just ours to take
through our eye's we must keep the soul awake
for this life is just a game played
where we are all meant to be

Sometimes it takes a man to fall
to know the struggles through it all
to find out where it is he will stand

It takes many fallen tears to cry
to know that he can still remain strong
to know he can make right the wrong
and know he is not here alone

Pain it can teach what one don't understand
that the dreams are never gone
and you have to learn to be still
if you want to keep on moving on

Sometimes it takes a man inside to die
to feel a heart beat made of stone
to know that his soul is alive and real
