Extra Precautions
Keegan Graham Apr 2014
My steel heart
So thick bullets couldn't pierce it

Was put into deep freeze
So cold the sun couldn't melt it

I dropped it in a box
With many locks

But without a key
There is no way to free thee

It was welded into my chest
And there it could rest

For I can no longer feel agony
Or love for that matter
But that doesn't bother me
Except when my heart beats it Clatters
There might be a companion poem...

The Tireless Strife
Keegan Graham Apr 2014
I'm done
With the endless loops
I'm gonna run
From all the hoops

Nothing new
All the same
Who knew
Of the shame

Of endless rejection
No need for resurrection

It's had enough of thee
This tired heart in me

Just let me be
Free

I will lead
Others to be

Just as me
This is a need

Let the chain be broken
And never again spoken

Of this tireless strife
Known as life
Is this good please tell me in the comments. Thank you(:

Numb
Keegan Graham Apr 2014
Pain
Love

They go hand in hand
If no one loved then there would be no drive to hurt anyone

Numb

To be numb is to be in that state where pain will not affect you

To numb yourself from Pain
You must dis-connect
From the
World

So numb your heart
Soon it will be steel art
Everything will unite
Every night

You are numb
The metaphorical heart holds the emotional memory of the holder's love life.
