Inside . . .
my frozen heart your love resides
a sunset kept by timeless sighs
my how it's surrounded by my lies

Midnight hour . . .
finds me on the edge of poetry
with paper hearts that be
the chains of your memory

Yet . . .
I reach into my heart
to warm the hands that are so stark
the love that has made it's mark .

Forgiveness . . .
I ask only this of you
but my pleas are more than the stars above the blue
More than the number of drops of dew

Twilight . . .
filters through my minds eye
as the time now turns to fly
I turn to night , cold , goodbye

I search for the best lay of the land
between hillsides & beyond
concrete

where gravel roads wander
toward birdsong and gut
laughter with

oak  fence posts
and sleep filled
nights.

Branded deeply
Our hearts beliefs
All the labels
Society heaps
*******, *****
Prodigal Son
Know you're not
The only one

These labels need
Little proven
Psychologically
Scarlet woven
Anxieties and depression
Are certainly fixed
As long as these labels
Upon us stick

There's a face at the window,
an old one I don't know,

I do hope he's not slow
to answer my knock;

It's late in the evening,
it's christmas and freezing,

I think he stopped breathing,
well ain't that my luck.  :0/
S'okay he was justa snoozin' after all. :0)

On new year eve when the sun on the west hung low
And the east wind on dead leaves blow
I paced to the yellow woods
And sat on my favourite wood
Where not long after I fell into a trance
Not of any divine trace
But a dream from my person
And I saw a vision backwards:
365 days ago, not long ago
I was on the same spot
For the familiar new year ritual
That of writing my aspirations
My fickle fingers wrote my dreams on the hard earth
On the passing sands of time
But no traces of them was left
Perchance carried by the furious wind
To the store house of wasted words
I continued in the vision backwards
When I heard a voice from me saying
" Don't write your dreams on sand
Write them on your heart "
I woke from my short trance
When the crimson moon was awake above
And the night owl hooting echoed through the woods
Left the woods without performing my ritual
Because i heard a vision backwards
" Don't write your dreams on sand
Write them on your heart."
Pause ...
And acknowledge your triumphs,
A little bit more,

Realise
That you are stronger,
Than you once were before.

Take timeout
To free your chaotic mind,

Rearrange your priorities,
Things of importance
You will find.

Do things
That make you feel
Real joy and happiness,
A little bit more,

The things
You used to make time for,
Once upon a long time ago--before.

Praise yourself
For the effort you put-in,
In all that you partake,

And forgive yourself,
Along the way, for any misjudgements,
That you may happen to make.

Walk with nature,
Or walk through shallow waters
Of a beautiful sandy beach,

Walk through an evergreen forest,
Or a local park, within reach.

Read a book,
Watch a movie,
Or take a swim,

Do something you love,
Do anything!

Just do it
A little bit more!

Your soul will thank you -
Of this, I'm absolutely,
Positively sure!
