"It's so sad"
they say,
"I'm so sorry"
they console
"You had such a good friendship".

Did we?
is that what it looked like?
funny,
well,
I'm sure we did:
our loyalty was immaculate,
our trust undying,
a series of never-ending inside jokes
and practically identical bodies.

They look at me with sad eyes,
mourning the close-knit memories
that would never come.

Funny.

We were closer than any
in the eyes of the world,
and yet,
I don't miss her.
Suddenly, you came into my life,
When all stars are sparkling in the sky.
There my heart ached,
it's your eyes, my everything.
Suddenly, you walked away,
What you left is a shadow in the rain.
Here my heart aches,
it's a memory, my everything.

here in Australia
in less than an hour
it will be tomorrow
and I have to say
its looking ok
for those of you
lagging behind
Trust me, the world
is not ending tomorrow
but if you wouldn't mind

I understand there are
Dragons to be slayed!
Demons to be fought,
and extracurricular actives
to be played

But not for me :)
I'm sitting outside
on a padded bench
wishing for bed
but you don't play nicely
Hello Poetry
You **** me in
with friends who wake
as I want sleep

*Where is the fun in that?
the truly saddest part of this? is I'm going to miss the real time commentary because I be sleeping...
seared shut by a split atom flash
the world instantly cauterized from view

gasping for breath
in the Zyklon showers at Auschwitz

or riddled with rounds from an M-16
bleeding slowly, with lids flickering
in the fading jungle light

all enter a new form of night
where no sound can revive
the once glassy stare
we all deigned to share
when the world was still
a blessed blink away

My bike is still just fine
I've had it a long time
I rode it just the other day
It's the way it's been looked after
I used to go much faster than I do today

I got it when I was only ten
Could hardly reach the pedals then
It cost twenty seven pounds
From a shop in Maidstone town

It seems to know its way these days
To the pub and back
I shall never give my bike away
Or send it off for scrap
tell me about YOUR bike !

Helen
she hears every word
as music
and every emotion
is a dance
her laughter
is a spring breeze
on a hot day
there are no
obstacles in life
every blocked path
is a chance

to see what's on the other side

tears are releasing fears
dripping like diamonds
from sapphire eyes
she scoops them up
and tucks them into
her pocket
because her locket
is full
of her heart
she sees no negativity
just a clearer sunset
as her eyes dry

her poetry, childishly written
pours from an old soul
it speaks of beauty
and emotion
Jealousy, Friendships
Love and Unhappiness
Joy, Comfort
and a sense of Home

she'll always skips
instead of walking
because
"It's a funner way
to get from B to A"

she'll twirl in circles
if she's been standing still
too long
because
"It's boring standing still
all day"

When she is smiling
I know all is right
in her world
When she cries
it's heartbreaking
But she knows
she knows
she can line her pockets
full of diamonds
and open her locket
to find a Pearl
She's 10 :)
The Peppered Pickle Clown
(Peppered Pickle Day)

This is a story you may not know
And it's banned in pickle town
It's about a peppered pickle
That became a circus clown

He started out his short life
Looking through a stained glass jar
Watching his sweet pickled brother
Become a kosher star

Although his peppered pickled life was sweet
This peppered pickle wanted more
He would join the circus as a clown
And be a smash that fans adored

At first it started slowly
No fans would call his name
But a peppered pickle as a clown
Well thats funny just the same

As time went on he made them laugh
They started yelling for him more
Then a show was given just to him
And a peppered pickle day was born

All the fans they ordered pickles
On peppered pickles they would gorge
Then one day there came a time
When peppered pickles they ran short

The peppered pickle clown knew right then
That it was time to make his mark
So he made a deal with Vlasic corp.
To put peppered pickles in their jars

Well Vlasic corp. invited him
To come take a private tour
They said that he would relish it
And be a cut up in the stores

They put the peppered pickle clown
In a clown chair and tied him down
They said it was for safety
As the belt showed him all around

The belt went slow when starting out
Picked up speed as it went along
The peppered pickle clown was sliced and diced
Vlasic didn't clown around

So remember the peppered pickle clown
When you shop at your home store
He gave his life for stardom
And thats why you now pay more

Today is peppered pickle day
And should be known the world around
Made famous by a sweet delight
The peppered pickle clown

I know, I Know this is no where near my normal. No life lesson, memory from the past or make you cry poem. These past several weeks I have written those touching heart felt poems and well I just needed a break. So if you were looking for a life lesson today just shake your head and say, Joe, Joe, Joe..Really, Really. ..lol

Every day, the cracks in the sidewalk
draw my gaze, because, not because
I'm afraid of stepping on them
but because I'm afraid of tripping
The cracks themselves, in terms
of wishes don't bother me
I won't ever break my Mummas back
It's how they seem to raise above
the norm of a flat surface to navigate
Trying to make this idiotic body
fall, just sprawl lifelessly, is the crack
But I am born of more studiousness
I don't want to look up from pavement
into laughing faces, amidst concern
gasping with feigned indifference
I want to fill each crack with perfection
from my heel, from my fingertips, clawing
away the empty earth that filters between
and settles, hidden beneath crust and dirt
I want to open the crack to study it's girth
to reveal what it hides, unseen
If there are worlds yet undiscovered
they are hiding in the cracks of the
Sidewalk of Life
Stumbled upon by one who wants to dig
and get their hands *****, on their knees
because they fell, laughing on the way down
