                    Time,
                    space
                    and everything in between.

                    Heartaches,
                    tears
and secrets that don't come clean.

                    Gambols,
                    laughter
                    and smiles beaming keen.

                    Deep thoughts,
                    aloneness
and the dark places we've been.

                    Handholding,
                    careless hugs
                    and ready shoulders to lean.

                    Reckless stabs,
                    impulsive jabs
and caustic words we don't mean.

                    Contentment,
                    counting blessings
                    and hope we can glean.

                    You,
                    me
                    and everything in between.

Sally Smiles
A smile is a frown,
that is totally upside down
With teeth and a grin
the happiest you’ve ever been
Some cheer and joy,
Just like a new toy
Your eyes are wide,
and your fears hide
For their is a smile
far as a mile
Upon your face
as a drawing or a trace
They sometimes stick
Or go down like a wick
Sometimes they stay awhile
for me a smile is a smile
They can also be a key
because that’s what they are to me

how does it feel
to spring up
to stop old habits
and gain new
you go through 'phases'
that end up being more than just
phases.

how does it feel
to spring up
to start new things
and give up
you go through 'friends'
who end up being less than
friends.

how does it feel
to spring up
to realize life
doesn't always go your way
you go through looks
that end up being you hating yourself
even more than before

how does it feel
to spring up
and die
and be happy
with this version
of yourself
