the best often die by their own hand
just to get away,
and those left behind
can never quite understand
why anybody
would ever want to
get away
from
them
1.
Firsts can never change,
But they can most certainly
Oh, be forgotten.

2.
Do not say my name.
Say my name again—say hers.
This time: I dare you.

3.
When I stripped you of
Your faith, I had asked you if
God was still watching.

4.
Perhaps flirtation—
Music taste, or lucky liquor.
Perhaps loneliness.

5.
Never spoke a word,
Until substance set us free
Upon each other.

6.
We were nothing more
Than slutty dancing, slurred words,
And a messy bed.

7.
Sleep—an illusion.
I start to wonder if you,
Love, were one as well.

8.
I was more to you
In one night—than you were to
Me in seven years

9.
Little golden boy:
How can you hate the whole world
Yet say you love me?

10.
I was sick, alone.
You were not special—just there.
Still sick. Still alone.

11.
I stole from God again.
You were young, and I— Oh, I
Just want to stargaze

12.
Smoke green under green—
sweat under sheets—broken bones—
Blood on hardwood floors.

13.
Hands can hold tightly.
Skin can connect easily.
Words can lie sweetly.

14.
You have green eyes, and—
soft hands, and— loving skin, and—
Nothing I deserve

15.
Let's talk about ***.
Let's talk about love. Let's talk
*About the sadness
I regret nothing of my life.
Written about fifteen people who I'm told are supposed to mean something to me.
You call me a sinner but I am sure I am a saint—
My body is a temple and I will let you worship it.

Fibonacci was wrong:
the only fingerprint that God left
is on the corner of my thigh.
—and it has nothing to do with numbers.

I leave for Seattle today.

the last thing i said to you was that i loved you

lost in translation from english to english

i said one thing, and then

you said no more
i've got 99 problems and
they're all different
ways to spell your name.
Bow
I realized love existed
when I tried to find it
and failed.
If I were your lover,
And you were across the seas—
I would swim my whole life
in the ocean's long breeze—
I would drown for your smile
Oh, regardless of degrees—
Just to love at your feet,
At your heels, at your knees.
happy birthday
He went to war,
A flag came back.
And with a last, dying breath,
He cried your name.

If one is to love unconditionally,
Without being loved back,
And without justification,
What is the point of love?

He has fallen past my reach,
With no where to turn.
Bullet wound turns a crimson red,
Shrapnel covers your face..

Vision gets dizzy,
Legs get heavy.
You fall.
You went to war, and a flag came back.
I miss you
Like a thunder in the night
I miss you
those moments when you hugs me tight

I miss you
Like the desert missed the rain
I miss you
and its driving me insane

I miss you
like the bees miss the flower
i miss you
like a summer needs a rainshower

I miss you
like i never did before
i miss you
and it hurts even more

i miss you
and its like a needle in my heart
i miss you
and its tearin me apart..

Poetry is surely the finest wine
Its words most lavish *****
You get drunk with every line
By the end all sense you lose!

There’s no wine to cast more spell
Whiskey ***** gin or ***
So long in it your thoughts dwell
Soul suffers blessed delirium!

Ecstatic is the poetry’s fizz
The froth at the mouth of nib
Gushing out of passion unleashed
The kick with each falling drip!

Poetry is among the best antidotes
When I crave a drink or two
I inject its overwhelming shots
Pains melt to moistened dew!
