When you sing
When the stars rage
when  meditation fades
and medication wanes
and my heartstrings
pull me both ways
then my soul gains...
when you sing!!!

We are together in pieces
made of a  poem facade
like howls of a big dog
cry  the sky

something right
is there if but
a kiss or a sigh
so, open your eyes

aggressive, albeit alibis
are calling , we are just fine.
much too steep
the pictures in my mind are

not long enough
you closed your eyes-
once again a lonely night
for once I'm sane and blurred again
bleeding out...

I like your sorry, for
always words for me
worry, bury me.

Nite
Irrational is the rule love goes by
The heart takes over
And your thoughts wander
That special one's absence you cannot abide

Stolen moments
Secret smiles
Meetings in secret
Kisses stolen

In comfortable silence we sit
Just knowing that we're alive in each other's arms
Content in the moment
Wishing for time to be frozen

Hand on your face
Lips locked in embrace
Cool ocean breeze setting the scene
We threw caution to the wind

Now the sun has come up
And it's time for the difficult goodbye
Our lips part with a promise unspoken
Waiting for the next stolen moment

are the vowels and consonants
forming meanings  and precedents
or but moments remembered tender
of some long lost love
or a stronger sentiment more
profound, perhaps a lesson for
others to make a judgement
of our morals the existential bottom
of it or the granite forming some mountain
ranging vast differences of climates
of language and man made boundaries
gathered into molecules the skin of water
filling the land and seas
with individuals making
one day a whole
or a law or prophecy at least

Blackfly blues

When the dark days come
and a man searches
for high ground

like a lost explorer,
a man going nowhere,

a wanderer with no ballad,

a man who dreams
to the beat of the dark
night's drum

playing light
of the moon, yet
out of tune

like the gloom only a poet
feels alone in a cold room.
For a friend who has the blackfly blues. Tomorrow is a new sun.
