Your smile makes my heart stop
and speed up
at the same time.
And even though you've
hurt me lots,
I know you're always mine.

The simple way
you say my name.
Your pretty light brown eyes.
I find it's never hard to say
the "Love"s, the "You"s, the "I"s.

And when you wrap
me in your arms
and hold on to me
tight,
I hope you'll never let me go,
I'd stay there,
day and night.

Your warmth,
Your touch,
Your comfort.
Your stories and
Your stares.
Your kisses,
Hugs, and
Gestures,
Your "I'll always be there"s.

You said to list
the reasons why
I love you
like I do,
but babe, I've tried
to tell you,
I love you cuz you're **You

DieingEmbers
Little dove
brought down by mans desire
to hurt
so tender a heart
of one so beautiful

her once gentle wings
now lay beneath her body

broken by her fall
by his deceitful lies
that stole from her her purity...

River otter weeps at sight of one so pained
his tears cleansing the wounds
anothers words
had caused

his touch comforting
easing her fears
as he uplifted with care what hate
cast down

he tendered to her night and day
and with kisses
healed
her wings allowing once more
her heart to soar...

Little dove flew far from him
weeping
fearing to stay
for fear he too would hurt her

or worse

she would hurt him in return...

but return she must
for she would rather know just one more day
within his arms
than a life time of doubt and regret.

DieingEmbers
Kiss me softly goodnight
and then...

let me go
as morning doth approach

and I like the night
must now
retire

sweet dreams and soft caresses
comfort thee
as I once more
depart
taking a part of you

with me.

Mr Bigglesworth
I'll never forget those despairing eyes the very last time ours met
Washed away as my love was drained but that's not why her cheeks were wet
She knew it could not be the same, she knew our time had passed
On her lips, another's name, despoiled I stood aghast
How could a love so sweet ruin so quick
What was once thought everlasting, die without being sick
How could she be so reckless with a kinship deemed so hallow
Burdened with the weight of love on shoulders far too narrow
I begged her to share her woes, alas her tongue held fast
I bargained with a currency of joyous days gone past
Her mind was set, where plentiful lakes of passion once sprung from her heart
Lay a baron desolate wasteland, two extremes, poles apart
I had to close my eyes and curse the stars above
I couldn't watch her wash away in a flash flood of my love.

Sometimes,
I feel the urge
To fall in love again.
Then, I think,
better not.
