Your neglect
Dragged me back to your bed
Body down
Ropes tied
Around my left leg
I came into your room with valleys on my body
I ran up those bruises
Without delicacy
Without realizing that they were volcanoes
Until I erupted in your presence
Looked at myself through you
And asked why haven't you been here?
Why do you get to graze my mountains when you choose to land your plane.
I thought my soil was land for you to build your home on?
But you come as you please
But my love is unconditional.
My love is not a tease.
It is not a sting
It is errupting
Molding
A breeze
I shiver
While I sweat
My love is a universe
And perhaps that's too large for you to wrap your arms around.
Maybe my love will wait for you to grow
Maybe not.
But it will never decrease in size
Infinity has no size.

I know you guys were never masta's
You don't own a plantation
Some of you don't even own a home.
But when you rock your chair
And recline to my beats
I hope you know what waters
You're treading on.
I hope you don't consume my melodies
And decline acknowledging my daughters and sons.
Because our pain is nothing to smile about.
Our grief isn't for you to swim in.
If you nod to our beats.
Make sure your ready to sink in and be an ally.
Not just another song
I have to write about
To heal my wounds.
My eyes do not gaze upon who you are
they see the person you will become

I do not hear your words that time will forget
I listen to your heart

When my fingers tingle your skin as they move down your body
I do not feal the scars that life as given you
I feal the memories that you gained in that life

The aroma that comes oozing from your body
is not that of sweat but of your soul

As our lips touch and we kiss for the first time
I will forever remember the taste of strawberries
for it takes all 5 senses to know a person
My eyes to see you for who you are and who you'll become
my ears to listen to your beautiful voice
touch to feel when you are cold
my nose to smell the perfume you brought
and my taste to really appreciate the meal you worked hard to make
it takes all 5 senses to know a person
I'm aware that for a large amount of people 5 senses is not possible and although this poem lead to been about 5 senses it was actually intended to represent that for a relationship to work properly it takes a lot of effort.. you have to be willing to listen to each other, to tell when they need you with out them saying, to appreciate when they buy something fancy, relationships aren't just about *** they are about 2 people becoming one.. If a person doesn't pay full attention to their partner the relationship will most likely fail.... So this Valentines Day, pay not just attention, pay full attention.

Happy Valentines Day
love grows under the Mistletoe
there you'll find it growing very nicely
as Santa and Mrs Claus
share a kiss neath the pine tree

now that's what I'd like to be
of wreath of Mistletoe
atop the beautifully lit
Christmas tree

how lovely it would be
to see Santa and Mrs Claus
enjoying a kiss or two
in a loving cause

yes! that's what I'd like to be
the wreath of Mistletoe
smiling so happily
