His love left him cold,
Closed to the world around him.
The world that kept reaching toward him,
He just kept pushing away.
Lovely's laid at his feet,
Begging to be seen through his eyes.
Yet his eyes remained closed,
As did his heart.

i'm lost,
(no) i'm found--
s l o w l y
but
surely
becoming
u n b o u n d
and i'm a mess right now but that's okay because not knowing what the hell to do is teaching me a lot about myself, and for that, i'm thankful.

Your kiss like fire
Your love like a summer
Rain
My realty is winter
Sadley your all I
Crave
Alabaster Affair

her skin was like a pure driven snow
laid behind the deepest blue eyes
and the brightest ruby red lips

you could not look at her and not
want to kiss those soft velvet lips
want to stare into those eyes
want to touch that skin

feel her run her long fingernail
up the spine of your back
to the back of your neck and chest
the nerve endings all over your body
exploding messages of pleasure

the chance meeting in the park
in an early spring warming sun
flowers beginning to burst with life
trees reaching up with their new leaves

you could not take your eyes off
sitting on the edge of the fountain
spewing a water spray from an angels mouth

two angels together in one slice of time
you waited as long as you could
it was time to return to work from lunch
and you had already run 10 minutes over

you walked past her dreading leaving
she looked up with those big blue eyes
and those ruby red lips began to move
you transfixed not realizing she was speaking

you stopped abruptly trying to clear your mind
but still no sound could be heard
only her big rimmed straw hat of white
the the bluest blue eyes
and reddest red lips
and her white alabaster skin

luckily she recognized the symptoms
and smiling put her hand on your arm
and waited patiently for the blood
to return to your brain

oddly she spoke with an island accent
how could this creature come from the islands
the sun and sand and alabaster
she was a princess mandated to sanctuary
on a holiday with her father
who was on business stop here in Atlanta

she knew no one here and the park
was just across the street from her sky suite
for some reason she felt okay speaking with me

now I was 30 minutes late as I took
a quick peek at my watch
you must go she asked?
Yes but can I show you the city later
Yes she smiled to me
I think I would like that

after getting her room number
I triple skipped, jumped and hopped
back to my office my head still abuzz
I stared into dreamland for the next 4 hours

you gonna stay over my boss yelled to me
I shook my head *** it was 5:05
he yelled you gotta date Rob
yes an affair to attend to I said
an alabaster affair

"I shut my eyes and all the world drops dead;
I lift my lids and all is born again.
(I think I made you up inside my head.)

The stars go waltzing out in blue and red,
And arbitrary blackness gallops in:
I shut my eyes and all the world drops dead.

I dreamed that you bewitched me into bed
And sung me moon-struck, kissed me quite insane.
(I think I made you up inside my head.)

God topples from the sky, hell's fires fade:
Exit seraphim and Satan's men:
I shut my eyes and all the world drops dead.

I fancied you'd return the way you said,
But I grow old and I forget your name.
(I think I made you up inside my head.)

I should have loved a thunderbird instead;
At least when spring comes they roar back again.
I shut my eyes and all the world drops dead.
(I think I made you up inside my head.)"
Grandiose and lofty it may seem
Nevertheless it’s a thought that captures
A dream I consider supreme
It triggers a spontaneous feeling of rapture
Whenever it crosses my mind.
It’s that a lawless society is an empowered society
The premise being that life is kind
Lending credence to society imposed piety.
As succinct as it is,
It sums up my simple idiosyncrasy as me
It’ll be a paradigm shift that’ll put my mind at ease
And fill my heart with glee.

The existing realities are grim
Stupefying for lack of a better word.

Andy Bryn.
Is life really kind
Or does it serve humankind with sweet sorrows
On silver platters
Whilst taking a back seat
Enthralled by man’s inadequacies.
Or is it indeed kind…
A kindred force to reckon with
Sweeping mankind in a whirlpool of pleasantries
And a myriad niceties.
One thing’s for sure
It is an enigma
An unsolved mystery
And it’s bent on ensuring that this supposed.
State of affairs persists
Ad infinitum.
She quintessentially embodied the phrase
‘Paragon of beauty’
Perfectly chiselled face
Symmetrical features and a smile that could
Smoulder one’s heart in a millisecond
She had an aura of nonchalance around her
And an umbrella delicately balanced over her head
Despite it being scorching hot
She walked as if in fear of hurting
The very ground she trod on
Attracting surreptitious glances from passers-by.
I stood rooted to the exact spot I had stood ages before
In utter awe and wonderment at the breath taking sight I beheld
Then out of the blue she appeared to be on the verge of kissing the ground
I instantaneously lurched forward to her rescue
She, landing appropriately in mine outstretched arms
The look on her face * priceless*
Discomfiture and fear apparently evident on her face
Soothingly I assured her all was indeed well
Whilst revelling in the idea that I had come to the rescue
Of the exceedingly beautiful lady.
