The system breaks
disintegrates
the walls come crashing in.
the damage done
repair men come,
fit new plates and it once again
disintegrates.
It needs a complete new overhaul before the system kills us all or that being done the repair men come and fit new plates.

I arch my back and watch it go, cool cats you know have nine lives so
I watch it go again
again.

I watch the system come to its end and I pretend the system that emerges from the dust will and must be better than the one that went before, but it's just as I anticipate another break and disintegrate.

She's in the kitchen

Being a coach is hard
Winning isn't everything
It all stats during practice
Arrive early to prep for the team
The ones who want it show up on time want it
The best players show up late
Running bases conditioning for the game
Batting cages to help with the swing
Playing catch helping the team work as a unit
Till the day of the big game
Slide to the base with technique practiced
Cutoff play to make an out
Team functions without doubt
Play hard play right win or loss giving it your all
Coach does right by the team no need to fight
Lets win and take the season play and do
What the team does best play softball

Claim to have feelings with someone else
Did the time felt replaced
Did favors denied was accessed
Questioned role and where the truth stands
Your way or no way
Didn't pay but took a hand out
Don't like or need until plotted in the scheme
Respect loss kept around till something better came along
Treated you well but let your baby mama run you down
Express frustrations at the people who hurt you
Not the ones helping you out
No feels sorry for you
Like no one takes your crap
