Perfectly
               curvaceous,
every bit
                    luscious,
dripping
                     Juice,
for us,
                     on the precipice
mutually
                        salacious,

She ate first,

Then I
           joined in
            relishing

cicada song--
faint ocean sounds in a shell
while lobsters scream
this is an autumn
treeline reflection..
stark edges
demarcations of
minerals and trees..
a reminder of
other dividing lines..
as when we hear
strange notes of the
coyote's scream..
Are there other
lines to be found..?
Where are our inner
shadows and lights
so precisely bound..?

below treeline
golden aspens glow
out-lined and brightened
by the forest's black..
other glistening lights
mark rippling streams..
Meanwhile--
the cowboy poet
renders joyful lines
of wholeness
embracing all such
lights..
and timberlines...

Sunset falls low, dark,
The trees fade from green to black -
Lights dim, one last breath.
People watched and wondered
As the man screamed at the crowd
He just let the people have it
He was yelling really loud

He screamed of unpaid taxes
Greenspace issues too
He yelled about the buses
He asked 'WHAT CAN WE DO"

He waved his arms quite madly
He was a lunatic on edge
He talked of water rights and of the
Local canal to be dredged

He spoke of apathy among people
And how people didn't care
I asked "Is this man the Town Crier"
I was told "No, he's the MAYOR"
Wishing for another day
Where I could be with you
Nothing planned just lazing
and doing what we do
To me there's nothing better
than no plans and only you
After all these years together
You make our love just seem brand new

I tell you every morning
That I love you, and you know
That my day just isn't started
Until I've said I love you so

It may seem trite and childish
After though these many years
But, just saying it each morning
Means I still hold you so dear

Wishing for another day
Where I could be with you
Nothing planned just lazing
and doing what we do
To me there's nothing better
than no plans and only you
After all these years together
You make our love just seem brand new

Holding hands when we are walking
Just like we did so long ago
It's a comfortable feeling
One that folks in love all know

Each night we kiss each other
Say I love you and good night
I don't take your love for granted
And I love you says it right

Your'e the one I want beside me
All my days I have to go
I just need to say I love you
And I want the world to know.
puddle moon
illumes cave wall symbols--
game season's over
It takes a man of many zen parts,**
to engage, a woman of substance,
in a symbiotic relationship,
for ever, all the rest get rusted too soon.
Who are you?                                                                                                                             Who are you?
i think i know you                                                                                                           i think i’ve met you
That i’ve seen you before                                                                                    and known you inside out
and been with you                                                                             touched your dreams, felt your scars
spent some meaningful times                                                          shown you mine too, under the stars
shared some laughs and shared some sorrows              we’ve discussed commonalities and discords

                                                                                   i know you
                                                                                 you know me
                                                                              and yet it seems
                                                                             we’ve never met
and odd as it may seem
                                                                          i don’t recognize you

                                                                           it makes me want to
                                                                              pick your brain
                                                                                pych you out
                                                                       sift through your secrets
need to figure you out to know
                                                                       where we’ve met before

i want to dissect your heart
and find my place in it
i know i’ve been there before
