Perky Breasts & Pouty Lips
David Nelson Jun 2010
Perky ******* & Pouty Lips

Now I'm thinking I am, your typical male
who loves beautiful women, and all they entail
tall or short both, make my heart do flips

but the things that I, like for sure
it's alright if, they're somewhat demure
are perky *******, and pouty lips

a personality, is a wonderful thing
it would be cool, if she can dance and sing
don't mind playin poker, and bettin those chips

a sense of humor, with a snorting laugh
always willing, to give you half
umm but I crave perky *******, and pouty lips

I love watching them, when they come and go
swingin those hips, to and fro
make my heart beat do, a couple of skips

but look at those *******, and that **** mouth
causing a disturbance down to the south
god I love perky ******* and pouty lips

Saturn Venus & Mars
David Nelson Jun 2010
Saturn Venus & Mars

If you live in the Northern Hemishpere of this universe,
go out any night this week an hour or so after sunset,
and look at the western sky to catch a planetary triple play
starring Venus, Saturn and Mars. The first thing skywatchers
will see — weather permitting — is the planet Venus,
slightly north of west, in the constellation Gemini.
Look for Gemini's twin first magnitude stars,
Pollux and Castor, just above Venus. As the sky gets darker,
the planet Mars can be spotted to Venus' left as it appears
in the constellation Leo very close to the bright,
first magnitude star Regulus. Further still to the left,
will be Saturn shining in the western part of the constellation Virgo.
The sky map below shows how to spot all three planets.
Venus, Mars and Saturn are all currently appearing,
slightly north of the ecliptic, the path the sun appears to follow
over the year, shown in green in the sky map. This occurance inspired
the poem that follows.

Good morning my love, hope that you slept well,
while you were away my dear, all the night sky fell,
the only stars that remain, are the stars in my eyes,
when I gaze upon your face, the tears my heart cries,
for I can only dream a dream, of you in my world,
and wish that I could kiss, those sweet lips so curled,
I also wish that you, would think of me this way,
holding you in my arms, is my wish each and every day ....

Slashers
David Nelson Jun 2010
Slashers

I grew up when rock bands were first here
from out of nowhere they would apprear
long haired, bearded hippies makin noise

some were quite good once you figured them out
others were bad, couldnt sing a lick, only shout
wondered where they got the money to buy the toys

one thing they featured, were loud out of tune guitars
made more weird sounds, then the race track cars
but some of them knew or actually learned how to play

these were the slashers who knew more than 3 chords
spine tingling sounds, from electric wires on boards
the sounds were so new I would listen all day

now I'm gonna name a few who made an impression on me
I'm sure your opinions will differ and you won't agree
but mostly I'm talking bout the early days of underground rock

there are new ones I know who are slicker than snot
but these are the ones that I never forgot
I can still listen to them now around the clock

ok here we go, hold on to your hat, you can reply to me
if I left off  your favorite, and I'm sure I did;

clapton, page, Hendrix, Holdsworth and howe
Bill Nelson, Kath, nugent, krueger, Van Halen
blackmore, knopfler, doucette and Eric johnson
gambale, benson, carlton, farner, frampton
satriani, Johnny A., Gatton, atkins, mayer
schon, lukather, takanaka, ritnour and west
monty montgomery, wes montgomery, keaggy
trower, may, derringer and ford
santana, montrose, morse and Trevor rabin

Slashers Defined
David Nelson Jun 2010
Slashers Defined

In response to my piece, Slashers, it was requested that maybe I could
reveal at least which band or other info these great guitar players performed for to gain their claim to fame. I don't want to spend too much
time on this defintion, but will give what info I think is pertinent. If you do not know some of the names I have presented to you, and you are a blues,
rock, jazz, fusion guitar fan, I suggest you take the time to listen to some of their work. I have included some of my favorite incredible fusion players that do not have a super star following, but are renowned in their group of fans, probably mostly musicians to some degree.
If you are a frustrated guitar player like I am, do not listen to the likes of  Holdsworth, Johnson, Gambale, or Morse unless you love being tortured.
Anyway on with the show.

Eric Clapton – Yardbirds, Cream, Blind Faith, Derek and the Dominos.

Jimmy Page – Yardbirds, Led Zeppe, The Honeydrippers, The Firm

Jimi Hendrix – not only what is, but,  what could have been

Bill Nelson – BeBop Deluxe, Solo

Down in the Dumps

down in the dumps,
down in the dumps,
feeling like, my neck is lumpy,
maybe, I got the mumps

down in the dumps,
down in the dumps,
feeling low, yeah feeling kinda grumpy,
baby, head is covered with bumps

why you wanna go and treat me this way,
you pretend that there's absolutely nothing wrong,
you haven't said a single word all day,
my hard drive is frozen that's why I sing this song

I'm down in the dumps,
down in the dumps,
once again, I'm so confused,
honey, do I have a fever

down in the dumps,
down in the dumps,
I guess you don't give it any matter,
if my bits and bytes or scattered

you make me go and feel like a fool,
pretending that there's absolutely nothing wrong,
you won't even look my way,
my display says System 32,  that's why I sing this song

got a wrong length record,
got a block incomplete,
transmission aborted,
yes I'm down in the dumps

The Persian Chessboard
David Nelson Jun 2010
The Persian Chessboard

as the story goes, it happend in Persia
could have been India, or even in China
the King was bored, so he looked for someone wiser
the Grand Vizier, being the principle advisor

entertain me the King said, challenge my senses
I need something different, I'm tired of burning fences
the Vizier scratched his chin, and stared straight ahead
how about a new game, where you have to use your head

we'll use moving pieces, on black and white squares
the King will be the major piece, the rest nobody cares
capture the opponents King, to make him surrender
be careful of the others, the ones who are pretender

we can call it 'shahmat', or death to the King
and when this death is proclaimed, everybody sing
the final move is checkmate, there will be no place to run
the game sometimes in real life, the loser had no fun

the pawns and the knights, each one fell to the side
eventually then an added piece, the King's special bride
the Queen was entered in, she also had some power
she was just as deadly, cutthroat behind you in the shower

the King was very pleased, he granted Vizier a treasure
he told him, pick your price, anything you pleasure
the Vizier tried to trick the King, he made mistake instead
the game lived on and on, but the Vizier turned up dead

It's Good to be the King
David Nelson Jun 2010
It's Good to be the King

The kings of old, the kings of new,
     the highest of all classes

took full advantage of their subjects,
     expecially the lasses

he liked to carress their *******,
and grab their fine tight *****

his bedroom was never empty,
for he gave out many passes

he bade them "you must give me more",
he made their poor hearts quiver

he stripped them of their lovely gowns,
and in the cold they shiver

when one would, complain out loud,
do you take me like chopped liver

his knife he would pull, from his belt,
and from her ear he'd cut a sliver

don't give me ,none of your lip,
     except upon my large ding

and after you, have pleased me well,
get off you knees and sing

"oh my lord, you are so good",
      "you have the largest thing"

ah yes young maiden, you are correct,
it's good to be the King

Guitars and Women

Guitars and Women

Slender neck, nice rounded bottom, and adjustable knobs,
musical sounds carress your ear, you can make this baby hum

take good care of her, lots of polish, not like unwanted hobs,
protect her from the elements, unless you are realy dumb

got to keep her happy, or the tune will be oh so sour,
the blues will roll right out of her, so sad it will make you weep

if she gets sweaty, from playing hard,  rest for half an hour,
if she's screaming way too loud, you'll never be able to sleep

every night before you rest, of her praises you should sing,
this instruction is so important, a very important part

don't strum so very very hard, or you might break a string,
don't ever take her for granted, or you will break her heart

yes, guitars are like women, most beautiful in every way,
they'll be your friend for ever, if you treat them oh so kind

let every word you think, be touched by her hand each day,
and she will reward you, body, soul and mind

I apologize(a Rock Ballad)

I toss and I turn
cant sleep at night
because of you

I feel the pain
I've got tears in my eyes
I was so untrue

how could I make you cry
I just wanna die
I was such a fool
how could I break your heart
when you've been the best part
of my life

I apologize,
I was so wrong
I apologize

You gave me your heart
asked me to keep it
safe from the deamons of pain
I closed my  eyes
with a flash my mind
laid it all on the likne'

how could I make you cry
I just wanna die
I was such a fool
how could I break your heart
when you've been the best part
of my life

Beatle Bomb  (a tribute to the Fab 4)

I should have known better, but if I fell, can you tell me why?
I'm happy just to dance with you, anytime at all,
you can't do that, if you love me do,
I want to hold your hand, and your bird can sing too,
said you was a taxman, it was a hard days night,
you can drive my car, but you wont see me,
I'm looking through you, but you're nowhere man,
had  a ticket to ride, eight days a week,
it was only yesterday, when I met the day tripper,
we can work it out, with the paperback writer,
we called Eleanor Rigby and Penny Lane,
and now it's getting better, with a little help from my friends,
You say “Helllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllooooooooooooooooo”
I say “Goodbye”,
You say “Helllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllooooooooooooooooo”
I say “Goodbye”,

I was living in a glass onion with Dear Prudence,
I said help! Lady Maddona, won't you just let it be,
Martha my dear, took her Blackbird and Piggies
while Rocky Racoon and Bungalow Bill had wild honey pie
Julia and **** Sadie  had honey pie for their birthday
while there was a revolution back in the U.S.S.R
it was helter skelter but everybody's got something
but I'm getting better, fixing a hole, using Maxwell's silver hammer
and mean Mr Mustard was chasing Polythene Pam
so she came in through the bathroom window
guess it is time to just Let it be

You say “Helllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllooooooooooooooooo”
I say “Goodbye”,
You say “Helllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllooooooooooooooooo”
I say “Goodbye”,

My Library
David Nelson Jun 2010
My Library

my library is crammed full, some of it ****,
somethings in there, I don't even get,
but that's who I am, and what I'm about

stories, movies, books and such,
all overflowing into the living room hutch,
I even found an old jar of sauerkraut

Plato, Brokaw, and Chaos's Gleick,
Saving Private Ryan, and Naked Gun shtick,
I'm here, there and everywhere on the map

Sagan, Obama, and General Powell,
who here remembers, Thurston Howell,
Gilligans Isle, now that was some goofy crap

and if you know me, my music's the bomb,
some loud as hell and some really calm,
Mott the Hoople, All the Way to Memphis and back

I'll listen to Bethoven, I'll listen to Bach,
but my favorite of course, is kick-*** rock,
Nectar remembered the future, it's in my stack

Sabato likes politics, and Roberts the past,
Dan Brown's novels, has the action real fast,
Schopenhauer had little regard, for the girls

Schindlers's list was a gripping tale,
Titanic was cool but had a horrific sail,
I always really loved, Shirley Temple's curls

Sherlock Holmes, was a real tricky dude,
I remember when I saw, Mary Poppins ****,
Shawshank Redemption, was a powerful flick

Monty Python's search, for the Holy Grail,
old time rock with J.J. Cale,
the first Alien story was really slick

now I've barely opened, the door inside of me,
there's a hell of lot more, of me to see,
so I'll probably be back, with much more to tell

my poetry of course, when I find the time,
always looking for, a reason or rhyme,
see y'all later, come back, sit a spell

Bring Out Your Dead

Bring Out Your Dead

bring out your dead, that's what the collector said,
in a barrel or a box, with or without a pair of socks,
no one shall cry, not interested in where or why

the teacher should never stop learning,
young hearts should never stop yearning

Roll up the streets, can't take those rhythmic beats,
Shut the city down, the senator is a part time clown,
fight the winless fight, keeping low below the light

reaching out to the weary and fallen,
hoping you hear them all callin'

I can't remember when I knew just what was going on
seems I have lost my connection
praying that soon the guilty well be gone
it's time to change, my direction

pull your bootstraps up, on the corner with a paper cup,
dig deeper down, hold your chin up, refuse to frown,
show them all your grit, refusing to ever quit

the schemers will never stop scheming
the dreamers should never stop dreaming

Yankee Doodle

Yankee Doodle

Yankee Doodle went to town, at least that's what they say,
I heard he never made it there, he was rolling in the hay,
with Mrs Sims fine young daughter, she had a real nice pair,
of Siamese *** Bellied Pigs, with long blond flowing hair

They sometimes referred to him, as the Doodle Meister,
he was known around this town, as the village heister,
he would steal candy bars, just stick them in his pocket,
and for young Sally Sims, he even stole a locket

The sheriff of this little berg, caught up with him one day,
made him drop his droopy drawers, put it on display,
milky ways and muskateers, tumbled to the ground,
and when he made him spread his cheeks, you won't believe what he found

A carton of cigs, a jar of olives, and some candied yams,
a pound of pasta, a TV guide, and 2 cans of deviled hams,
the sheriff put the cuffs on him, and threw him in the wagon,
somehow he managed to escape, like Puff the Magic Dragon

Styx and Stones

Styx and Stones, can break your bones,
they can leave you with cuts and bruises
a broken heart, can go on and on
it's sad, when somebody loses

the things that they love,
the things that define them,
the things so dear to their heart
they fill you with lies,
right in front of you eyes,
they think they're so **** smart

porcupine quills, over-due bills,
are more things that can give you pain
but a stab in the back, or hung on the rack,
will leave more than a mark or a stain

smiles from heaven above,
smiles from the one you love,
smiles from a complete stranger
kisses in a dish,
kisses when you wish,
look for warnings of danger

Styx and Stones, mortgages and loans,
the fat cats are still getting fatter
they scoff and pretend, they've been honest to the end,
while sneaking a bun off your platter

The Goodbye Look
David Nelson May 2010
The Goodbye  Look

The Dan talked about it, they even wrote a song,
how things got so messed up, she finally said so long,
you just had to test the waters, had to push the edge,
now your standing all alone, out there on that ledge

you promised her a wine and dine, then forgot to call,
you said that you were detained, down at City Hall,
some mix up, some sort of gaffe, you were not to blame,
why did you not dial me up, if this is what you claim

she checked it out, she caught you flat, your pathetic lies,
disgust and disappointment, laser beams from her blue eyes,
there is no way to misread, those daggers that you took,
I believe you just got, what's known as The Goodbye Look

You said you did not know that girl,  just helped her find her way,
but you were seen at her locker, seven times today,
it wasn't you is what you said, must be some mistake,
you weren't even there today, you were at the lake

she checked it out, she caught you flat, your pathetic lies,
disgust and disappointment, lasers from her eyes,
there is no way to misread, those daggers that you took,
I know you just got, what's known as The Goodbye Look

Congratulations, take a bow, you have stolen the show
you really had me going there, and now I'm eating crow
I was convinced, you changed your mind, a constant fool am I
you ****** me in, with your magic tongue, every word a lie

Congratulations, take a bow, you have claimed the prize
once again, I failed to see, through your deceit and lies
you told me how much you cared, you're really good at this
turned my back, you gave a shove, into the great abyss

Congratulations, take a bow, you're such a super star
you're number 1, tops on the charts, you've really set the bar
your command, of mystic spells, has climbed right off the charts
you hand to me, my broken heart, in a box of old used parts

Congratulations, take a bow, you've won another crown
is this the end, the final blow, should I dress up like a clown
cause one more time, the joker's wild, I've been the perfect fool
I thought I had, a fighting chance, but you've taken me to school

Congratulations, take a bow, the final act has played,
you cut right through, my hopes and dreams, with your pointed blade
when the program,  lists the players, will my name appear
you said I love you, to my face, now you're no longer here

Saved by the Sunflower
David Nelson May 2010
Saved by the Sunflower

A very strong storm was arriving,
there were large black clouds coming from the east,
strong gusting turbulent winds threating to snap everything,
severe down poring of flooding rain,
as if the clouds were crying out in pain,
it did not seem there would be anyway to save the flower garden,
nothing could survive this unannounced exploding of nature,
this seemingly uncontrollable outburst,
something, maybe everything was going to be destroyed,
this day turned in to this night of hell,
the rain, the wind, the flashes of lightning,
this violent death would not be stopped this time,
then a small voice could barely be heard,
at first it was ignored, flicked away like a mosquito,
the voice did not give up though, once again it cried out,
once again it was ignored, brushed aside,
the voice continued gaining strength, it refused to be shut down,
the creator of the storm suddenly took a step back,
looking down to see where this voice was coming from,
it was emanating from this one lone sunflower,
it was the sunflower that had been given the name Perly,
Perly would not, could not be denied as she screamed out,
leave this garden oh evil storm, I will not except the outcome,
the outcome that you predict will occur, we are fighters,
we will never give in to your senseless urges,
please wake up and hear my plea for sanity,
the storm started to weaken, slowly at first, but continued
gaining momentum loosing it's grip on this act of violence
until finally secumbing to this cry of desperation from
the little sunflower. Gradually, the wind stopped blowing,
the rain stopped falling, the sun began peaking thru the clouds.
Perly Sunflower had saved the lives of all the other flowers
in the garden, and the life of gardens caretaker.
A plaque is now erected on this spot proclaiming the
bravery of this little sunflower that would not give in,
would not accept, would not cower away.
The caretaker of the garden professes eternal gratitude
and love for this brave creature of Gods doing.
Thank you Perly sunflower

Goodbye Mr LePoet

I remember the days, when I made people happy,
coming up with lines, lines sometimes snappy

I remember the days, when I made people laugh,
hurting my back, trying to do a two-and-a-half

words were my friend, they talked to me,
I just wrote them down, so that everyone could see

sometimes funny, sometimes deep in thought,
making people dream, is what I always sought

somehow the words, have deserted my mind,
somewhere my heart, lost its way and cannot find

the will to carry on, when I know I'm causing pain,
these tears falling now, like a hard summer rain

My special Perly friend, who I made feel so so sad,
I broke the heart of the one I loved, the one I loved so bad

the garden will never ever be the same again,
and neither will Mr. LePoet

Go Ahead, Ask Me
David Nelson May 2010
Go Ahead, Ask Me

I was walking down the street just the other day,
when this gentleman stopped me right dead in my tracks.
he said he was wondering if he could inquire
how the world got this way?
I told him this was quite a complicated question.
There were so many factors involved, it was impossible.
Let me grab my straw hat and dancing cane.

Darfishy! Some music please. Maybe some razz matazz piano.
1 2 3 4

If you wanna know what times it is,
go ahead and ask me.
If you needed to know what day it was,
I would most surely reply.
Are you curious about stocks and bonds,
you may certainly inquire.
but the condition of this world,
please don't ask me why.

If you wanna know who sang that song,
go ahead and ask me.
If you want directions to the moon,
I'll point it out for you.
If you need to know the atomic weight,
of a cosmic ray bombarding .
But the conditions of this world,
nary one single clue have I.
So please don't ask me why.

Things just seemed to be more simple in the past,
but we had to make a change, we knew it wouldn't last.

If you wanna know the confetior',
go ahead and ask me.
I'll most glady sing it for you,
you just pick the key.
Where to find a grocery store,
on South highway 98.
just how the world got this way,
I'm totally cluless.
But go ahead and ask me why
yes go ahead, ask me.

Down For the Count

Knew this was gonna be, a tough fight from the start,
the stakes were high, it would cost me my heart,
I trained most diligently, day after day,
blood sweat and tears, prepare for the fray,

took many body punches, right in my gut,
and when I bent over, got a kick in the ****,
you gouged my eyes, took a jab to the neck,
there is no prize money, ain't getting no check,

went down for a 6-count, early in the fight,
first to my knees, then stand upright,
the referee looked me, square in the eye,
you a man or a boy, wipe those tears fancy guy,

so I got back in, and tried it some more,
once again I went down not needing anymore,
but I was an idiot, thought I was tough,
flexed my muscles, thought I looked real buff,

the words were angry, the looks were real mean,
we clenched in the middle, but we finally broke clean,
I tried for a kiss , a hug, and a smile,
told me to hush, needing more than a smile,

one more time, I put my jaw in the way,
took a hard right, thats the end of my day,
down on all-fours, I was ready to mount,
this fight was over, I was down for the count.

Unified

Here we lie side by side, staring at each others face,
heads on hands held up by elbows, breathing in this time and place,
we share our thoughts, we speak our dreams, we melt into each other's eyes,
we reminisce, we trace our paths, broken hearts sometimes our goodbyes

but tonight we loved, our deepest love, we accepted from each other,
tender kisses we placed, on each others lips, like kisses from our mother,
with such deep love we breathe each other, your lavender I taste,
slowly I feel all of you, every smooth silky inch, rushing would be waste

though sometimes we have our differences, tonight we blend like one,
water and oil, the fertile soil was joined like rain and sun,
I give praise and thank the heavens, for sharing this with you,
I do not deserve, feeling every curve, your musky morning dew

beads of sweat run down my brow, hearts are beating hard and fast,
almost there, no releasing yet, make this loving moment last,
now I am yours and you are mine, as naked stars collide,
expansion then, and now collapse, we are unified.

Miami Vice – The Song – From First Kiss Rock Opera

The night was ringing, with violent sounds,
the echoes of turbulent dreams were flying,
being chased by villians, like foxes and hounds,
through the streets, hear the voices crying

seems he had been, a witness of crime,
he was offering his service to the city,
the cartel found out, he was taking the time,
his interventions would allow for no pity

duck your heads, run for the cover,
these beasts of violence, will sure take your life
hide with the Feds, save your lover,
be wary of traitors, they cut like a knife

the wailing of sirens, tear through the night,
warnings of immanent danger for you,
seek out the dark, stay out of the light,
you and your lover with your love so true

duck your heads, run for the cover,
these beasts of violence, will sure take your life
hide with the Feds, save your lover,
be wary of traitors, they cut like a knife

First Kiss – The Song

Kiss, that first kiss, this is what, loves all about
kiss, your sweet kiss, makes me go crazy, scream and shout
your kiss, that angel kiss, can't live with out it, you drive me mad
one kiss, just one kiss, from you sweet lips, blows my mind real bad

don't know how I got by before you
never want to try it no never again
my darlin angel I adore you,
since I met you you know i've been

crazy, I've gone crazy, just can't get enuff, of you sweet baby
dreaming, got me dreaming, every night baby, I don't mean maybe
every kiss, like your first kiss, sets me ablaze, you know it takes me higher
another kiss, I want another kiss, turn the flames up like a funeral pyre

don't wanna try to get along without you
never want to try it no never again
my darlin angel I adore you,
since I met you been waiting for that first kiss

Tears
David Nelson Apr 2010
Tears

Today has been a mentally tough day,
many things to absorb into my cranial patch,
many pictures of souls that have lost the way,
always another brand new batch

the Idol showed scenes of tortured Africa,
my god, too many there who suffer in pain,
just received some new ones that contained my Pa,
returning visions of dancing in the rain

the one I love has revealed her heart,
her declare of love brings a smile to my face,
not so sure it was smart on her part,
now I'm sad, the wrong time, the wrong place

all these things have brought tears to my eyes,
some are happy and some are so sad,
I'm not manly if I'm one baby who cries,
don't like my tears well it's too **** bad
don't like my tears well it's too **** bad

Those Lips

Those Lips

I was sitting in a booth at Boomer's coffee shop,
it was two a.m. And I was ready to drop,
working my *** off, Just trying to get ahead,
but going in circles, it's going to my head

sitting here sipping a cup of Cafe' LaWut,
pulling drags off a stale cigarette ****,
in walks this redhead, long legs and all,
set me straight up, hit my head on the wall

long red hair all the way down her back,
near 6 foot tall, with quite a stack,
legs from the bottom, all the way to the top,
could feel my bottom jaw start to drop

looking like a dork couldn't help but stare,
think to myself, she's not wearing underwear.
bright green eyes that sparkled like stars,
and here I am looking, like a creature from Mars

but she looked my way, gave a wink and a smile,
she must be crazy, or been drinking a while,
her cute pug nose fit her face just right,
I could look at her for the rest of the night

the thing I noticed most out of all this charm,
long hair, long legs, a smile so warm,
killer eyes, perfect teeth and shapely hips
I really had this urge to kiss those lips.

First Kiss (Act II - Miami Vice) A Rock Opera

Rachel's plane set down at 2:45 at the Miami Dade Airport.
She was anxious to get off of the plane after a 6 hour flight,
and of course the concourse was jammed full of smiling faces,
weeping faces, noisy children, old people, fat people, tall people,
Cubans, Europeans, Asians, hustling and bustling about.
Rachel and Daniel had of course exchanged photos so they both
knew exactly who they were looking for. Rachel of course was a
bit overdressed having left the UK in 40 degree rainy weather,
only to arrive in balmy Miami where is was 82. After finally
being able to stand and gather up her carry on bags, she
anxiously started down the aisle to exit the aircraft, up the
exit ramp and out into the gate receiving area. After a few
panicky moments, she finally spotted Daniel, and when their
eyes finally met, she felt a new bounce in her step and an
excitement building in her body, as both their faces were covered
with huge smiles. They finally reached each other and embraced,
a long, long embrace. They finally stepped apart from each other
and just stared at each other in disbelief. “is this really happening”,
Daniel asked Rachel. “yes, finally” Rachel said half laughing, and then
they kissed. For the first time their lips met and they both meleted
into each others arms, forgetting for the moment that they were in
a public arena, though most of the people were busy with their own
lives and paid little attention to them except for a few smiling glances.
That first kiss was all and more of what each had expected. The fire
of love was burning inside each of them at that moment, just waiting
for an excuse to burst into flames.

They scurried down the wide concourse aisle and headed toward
the escalator down to the baggage pick up area. Walking hand in hand,
looking at each other with still those big grins on their faces. They
finally were able to secure Rachel's luggage and headed out the door
to the parking garage where Daniel's car was parked on the 3rd level.

As they started to cross the busy 4 lane road to get to the garage,
Daniel suddenly looked up and saw a vehicle traveling at a much too
high rate of speed for this congested area. He grabbed Rachel's arm
and pulled her back as the car went speeding by. A couple of shots rang
out from the passing vehicle and barely missed them bouncing off the wall
behind them. They both looked at each other totally startled.

The night was ringing, with violent sounds,
the echoes of turbulent dreams were flying,
being chased by villians, like foxes and hounds,
through the streets, hear the voices crying

seems he had been, a witness of crime,
he was offering his service to the city,

Son of a Snitch

My daddy was an informer to the FBI,
got caught selling drugs to this undercover guy,
his only recourse was to tell what he knew,
but people found out and gave him the *****,
they even took it out on me, I'm Mitch,
and rubbed it in my face, call me son-of-a-snitch

came home from work the other day,
looked for my ******* and my can of starch spray,
magazine was gone could not find it at all,
I said hey, who took my friggin book off the wall,
wife looked at me and with nary a hitch,
she said why you ask me you son-of-a-snitch

went to the super to get me some cheese,
beans and beer and bread if you please,
wanted a streak but the cost was to high,
asked man behind counter I say hey old guy,
why this price so high is this some glitch,
he say don't ask me you son-of-a-snitch

everywhere I go I get the same old crap,
a punch in the gut, a facefull of slap,
just because daddy bought his way out of debt,
this is the kind of treatment I always get,
I plead my case give it my best pitch,
quit that whining you son-of-a-snitch

Secret Hideaway

Stolen moments pulled from here, pulled from there
little slices of time that we can share
reaching out our open hand we try so very hard
to satisfy the needs before the changing of the guard
sneaking away, exchanging glances, we know we cannot stay
but it is our little moment in our secret hideaway

often we are ducking, avoiding detection
sacred words added to the bottle, our own sweet collection
when times are bleak we reach inside, pull one out to read
finding that very special one that fills the current need
our hidden world, in a hidden place, we meet there everyday
it isn't much, but it's all we have, our secret hideaway

Ramblings Part I

Hippy dippy weather men, continued dark all night,
one potato, two potato, keep trying until I get it right,
you roll em up and roll em up, mark em with a 'B',
put em in the oven, the truth shall set you free,

every time I close my eyes, something new goes down,
feel like Mr. Parker, lost in Barrytown,
the caves in Altimira provide historic news,
before Elvis it was Carl, who had those blue suede shoes

ding **** the witch is dead, at least that's what they say,
does wearing garlic necklaces, keep werewolves away,
or am I thinking vampire chicks, who like to play the game,
keep those fangs where they belong, I'm not here to claim

I know I've seen your face before, is must have been in a dream,
I've been in this chase before, a very familiar theme,
the small brown fox, chased a large black bear,
not very smart, unless you really don't care

heart equals love, love equals pain,
anyone who's been in love, has also been insane,
please excuse me , don't mean to intrude,
hope you don't think, that I'm being rude

will the politicians, ever get it right,
they say one thing, then change it overnight,
we keep replacing them, but nothing seems to change,
is there something wrong with me, but doesn't that seem strange

I bet I can keep this up, then again maybe not,
too much Sterlings Merritage, the killer's changed the plot,
now I need to lay it down, say goodnite with an angels kiss,
once again I search the sky, look for the abyss

First Kiss (Manchester to Miami)

Rachel was a 19 year old student who attended the
Royal Northern College of Music, located in Manchester UK.
Manchester was considered the arts, media, higher education
and commerce mecca of north central England. Bordered by the
Cheshire plain to the south, and the Pennines mountain range
to the north and east. The famous River Mersey ran along the
southern side of Manchester. Rachel was packing for winter
holiday with some of her classmates, to the warm beaches of
Miami Florida, for a week long stay in the sun, far from the
often dreary weather that settled over the UK this time of year.
Not only was Rachel looking forward to the warm weather and
sunny skies but she was looking forward to meeting up with Daniel.

Daniel was a 40 something musician, beach bartender, handyman,
who lived just outside of Miami. They had met on a poetry website
seven months prior, and had established a warm friendship.
They communicated almost daily threw emails, chat sites
and through poetry exchanges. Their friendship had become
more romantic in the last month or so, talking that silly love talk
that new lovers used, and Rachel finished off every meeting with the
initials AKTY at the end. AKTY stood for angel kisses to you,
as Daniel liked to refer to her as his angel. they both were very
excited about the chance to see each other, face to face.

Rachel knew that the majority of Daniels poetry was slanted
toward the romance side, and she knew from their conversations
that he seemed to be educated, gentle and romantic. She was,
they were, both looking forward to spending an evening together,
holding hands, caressing each other, looking into each others eyes,
and..... that first kiss. Kiss kiss kiss kiss

hard rock guitars, lights and smoke

Kiss, that first kiss, this is what, loves all about

3 Day Death March
David Nelson Apr 2010
3 Day Death March

It was 3 days ago I reported the death of my world,
an implosion of a not-so-super star like a white dwarf,
though small in size, the dwarf, like my brain is very dense,
the intense fusion of helium to carbon and oxygen left too much
floating matter for my cerebral understanding of the situation.
Well the 3 day death march has started. I finally have made the
connection from my cranium to my bleeding heart. I don't at this
point, know how I can explain the total confusion that has slowly
been absorbing my soul, without the massive usage of four-letter
explicitly descriptive words. I want to yell from the tallest building
in Malaysia how much pain I now feel. Challenging the gods to explain
their compassion for their children, when I did nothing to deserve
this much discomfort and confusion. Oh, I did allow myself the
indulgence of falling in love. How dare me. How ******* dare me.
Do I sound angry? Yes I am angry. As each day passes by, a little more
of my defensive shield disintegrates into nothingness,
exposing me to the truths that are staring me in the eye.
It is over, although the binary counterpart had shown some weakness,
logic overtook that temporary faux pas, a few morsels of fodder
where thrown to me to nibble on, and ease the isolationism
feeling that was slowly absorbing the mind and body.
I managed to control my tuning into recent messages that were
transmitted at first, showing my intestinal fortitude, displaying
my control of the situation. By the second day, a little more slippage of bestowers will, kept hopes high that maybe this wasn't over.
The dreaded third day arrived finally, and confirmation was obvious.
The separation has been confirmed. The messages have stopped.
The sledge hammer has pounded my submission to the ground.
I ******* hate this. From ecstasy to the out house.
I never signed on for this. I never asked for this. I never wanted this.
The 3 day death march ***** big time. Don't know if a 4th day
will arrive. At this point, I really don't give a ****. Love *****.

Jocks

While lovely Eileen entertained us all,
with her wonderful words of lace and satin,
it made me want to answer the call,
make guys proud, like General Patton

the guys wear jocks to cloister their tools,
the perfect size so hard to find,
need to protect those precious jewels,
from errant kicks and grabs from behind

most are just elastic and cotton,
some are furry you get from **** shops,
absorb the sweat they smell quite rotten,
pick up with 1 finger or handles of mops

the backs are weird like gives you ******,
when grabbed by the band and yanked real hard,
guys in gym like to snap like frozen veggie,
then try to get you on their dance card

cause now you can sing those real high notes,
your face quite large like you have the mumps,
squeal like girlie man being attacked by goats,
don't bend over you expose those rumps

but it is important to protect your package,
keep is safe for your favorite gal,
not real good to have swollen sackage,
not even if choice is a guy named Hal

I'm asking you to please stay away,
why can't you just ****** off,
not sure if I'm sad, but certainly not gay,
won't you please just ****** off,
maybe I need a good roll in the hay,
naw, just won't you please ****** off,
just got crap on my shirt, from a flying Blue Jay,
gotta go inside and get that ****** off,
that's the way it's been going for me this whole GD day,
why won't the world just leave, ****** off,
no blue skies here, just cloudy and gray,
is it a sign for me, to just ****** off,
no, tomorrow will change, at least that's what I say,
then you flip me the bird, and yell ****** off,
now I'm back where I was, I'll hide until May,
no one to tell me, hey ****** off,
like my love who has spurned me, turned me away,
she said it was too much, I must ****** off,
maybe worms for lunch, with a glass of OJ,
then I can do my own ****** off

Death by Love

Death by Love

Well, it has finally happened, I knew it was just a matter of time,
before the walls of Jericho came tumbling down
and crushed my body, my heart, my mind, my soul
our love was not meant to be, there were too many obstacles
the least being the physical distance between us
the most being we were both already spoken for
we had commitments, we had consciences, we both felt guilt,
you more than I, not that that matters at this point,
we knew that this would or could never, be but we played this
dangerous game of chance anyway, reveling in our adoration
for each others thoughts, feelings in this pretend game of house
we had our disagreements, we had our arguments,
we kissed and made up, we laughed together, we cried together,
we were deeply in love with each other without ever touching,
we pretended to make love, we bathed in the affection,
the care, the concern we had for each others real lives
I know you will struggle with your decision to end it,
but it was the right thing for you to do, as you had constant
internal struggles between right and wrong, good and evil.
As for me, I don't have a clue how I will survive without your
gentle ways, your wit, your love touching me every day.
Now I sit here hammering this story out, knowing this day would come,
but yet sit here in total shock that it has actually happened.
Right now I am numb, though there are tears running down
my cheeks and it will just be a matter of time when the
finality of this actually registers inside my pathetic brain,
this is not my fear, my fear is when my heart begins to feel the
emptiness that will be left behind. My world has revolved around
our relationship, growing stronger and stronger with each passing day.
How will I ever find a way to replace the hole that will be left
and will grow until I am left with nothing. Can I survive this?
I really do not know. I am afraid that I will be another victim of
death by love. if not physically, then metaphysically I know.
My world ended when I read your last message. The mind sees it,
understands it, but the heart has not yet received the message.
Should I wait or call 911 now?

Fear

my fear is to be left alone, no one to wonder why,
no one to hear my voice, or wonder why I cry,
no one to care, if I will be there, or if I even show,
just left in this sometimes cruel world, will anyone really know,
we come to life a whining mess, held in our mothers arms,
time goes by, friends disappear, our old face no longer charms,
when finally the time has come, for us to leave this place,
will anybody really care, or left to our own disgrace,
my eyes now fill with tears, feeling old and tired,
would anyone remember me, if I just expired,
will I return again someday, in a whole new different light,
once again a whining mess, where day replaces night,
and will I again feel weak and frail, all alone once more,
waiting for the knock of fear, on my trouble minds door

What kind of Animal(goes woof,woof)

When we were growing up, I bet all of us had a favorite TV show,
and one of the things these shows for younger kids had I know,
was a song of some sort that would make us laugh and smile,
It was always some silly little ditty, just think back a while,
you had the Flintstones with their Yabba dabba doo,
Captain Kangaroo and Mr Greenjeans and Mr Clock too,
now I don't know all the shows, or the songs that you sang,
just trying to make you think, make a bell go clang,
my favorite was from the Howdy Doody show,
guess that makes me really old I know,
they would sing this song about animals, for little tykes, 1st grade,
trying to identify, by the sounds that they made,
like the title of this poem What kind of animal goes, woof woof,
the kids would respond a dog of course, you goof,
and on and on through all of the chickens and ducks,
bet the smile on your face is worth a thousand bucks.

4 and 20

Jump down, turn around, pick a bale of cotton,
scuse me, while I kiss this guy,
old times there, are not forgotten,
4 and 20 blackbirds, baked in a pie,

now of course, the question has to be,
just what is the point, of all these crazy quotes,
the message seems quite clear you see,
unless you've been too busy, tending to the goats

just why is it mandatory, that have to keep jumping down,
would it not be easier, to stay there all along,
and just what did Jimi mean, why would he kiss a clown,
or did I misunderstand, the meaning of his song

I also take exception, to the fact presented here,
that old times or not forgotten, never fade to black,
hey, I cannot even remember your name my dear,
just who were those jokers, Frick and Frack

Is it really possible to fit all those birds,
under the crust, of just one pie,
and of course the thing that bugs me,
is why, oh why, oh why

Easter Sunday
David Nelson Apr 2010
Easter Sunday
Easter Sunday is the Christian celebration of the resurrection
of Jesus of Nazareth from his crucifiction on Good Friday.
If you are not a christian or even if you consider yourself to be one,
and do not place much belief as to whether or not this event actually
took place, but is symbolic in nature, have nothing to be apologetic for.
For those of you who do totally believe in this miracle, because your faith
says to that you do believe, I will not ever challenge. The more important
issue to me, go back two spaces, is Good Friday, as it is called. This day
has much more significance to me.
Jesus, no matter how you perceive his person to be, Son of God,
or King of the Jews, or a not so normal politician, performed a function,
that benefited all of mankind. Whether or not he absolved the sins of
man is up to the believers. What he provided mankind, is measurable and
unmeasurable at the same time. He was the pioneer of Human Rights.
His teachings caused the revolution of thought. His actions stirred the
thoughts of a yearning civilization to reach for higher goals. To bring
attention of the elitist of the world, that they will be held accountable for
their actions, somewhere, sometime. To give a hope to the struggling
peoples of this world. For this, I give thanks and will always look inside
my heart to find what is right.
There will be those of you who read this, that think I am a total idiot.
That I really have no knowledge of what I am speaking. I say to you
that you are probably right, but I welcome your thoughts on this,
and I feel that this is exactly what I am presenting to you, about the
significance of this entire weekend.
Happy Easter everyone, whatever your beliefs.

April Fool

It was the 1st of April, I had made up my mind,
to take the plunge, leave the worries behind,
I got down on my bended knee, and said this to you
please my love, will you be my bride?,
my heart was pounding, all nervous inside,
I closed my eyes, crossed my fingers, what more could I do

you looked down at me, and gave me a smile,
every thing froze, for it seemed a long while,
but I could tell by the look in your eyes, the news was bad
you said that you cared, deeply for me,
but marrying me, just could never be,
It knocked me back baby, now I'm going mad

I misunderstood, the signs you see,
got confused, just thinking about me,
I assumed you thought, I was really way to cool
but the things that I thought, were a mere dream,
too much time spent, with my friend Jim Beam,
it's just so obvious now, I'm the April fool

Please don't tell anyone about this,
let me figure out a new plan,
I don't want to be called the April Fool

Your Secrets' Safe With Me

Your secrets' safe with me, I will not tell a soul,
you can rely on me, I will take it to my grave,
my lips cannot be tricked, to reveal your inner thoughts,
my heart cannot divulge, that which has been entrusted to me,
even if vestal virgins seek me out to coerce me,
my hands staked to a tree,
my garments ripped away from my body,
while verbal daggers are ****** upon me,
ghostly images do not frighten me,
they are only creatures that once were,
releases of fractured mind fragments seeking sanctuary

Your secrets' safe with me, under human laws not to be repeated,
you can rely on me, to stand tall in the faces of beasts,
there forked tongues waggling in the nite,
bolts of lightning extending through their eyes,
promises of eternal gratification trumpeted to my ears,
not Zeus nor Neptune nor Hercules could ever bring me fear,
for I have the power of the truth, I am the power of the truth,
but only if can stay vigilant to the cause,
only if I can stay true to my queen,
my honor, my soul, my life I owe to my queen,
your secrets' safe with me beyond the end of time,
your secrets' safe with me...

Those Eyes

Those Eyes

They say the eyes, are the window to the soul,
when I look into those eyes, I struggle keeping control,
they say that man can never know, from whence he came,
my words to explain it all, seem so very very lame

I knew you from the future, or was it from the past,
we connected through electrons, the stardust forever cast,
having never hardly seen your face, it was impossible to guess,
into the light years of primordial stew, I emerged to confess

now your face is very clear, the eyes so very bright,
those eyes show to me, the treasures of insight,
I look into the image, and see the sunflowers smile,
they teach patience and kindness, innocence of child

I wish that I had known, when everything was new,
had seen those visions early, that I now see when with you,
you have taught me so much, how to deal with me,
when I cannot accept the truth, winds ******* out to sea

you find the way to bring me back, rescue my angry soul,
those eyes can see everything, for that they take a toll,
you are my very anchor now, saved me from my lies,
I feel the universe all new again, when I look into those eyes

Disturbing Behavior

Disturbing Behavior

disturbing behavior, is what you'll see from me,
disturbing behavior, is what you'll get from me,
I have only one thing, on this troubled mind,
what next disturbing thing, can this freak show find

obnoxious revealing, of my inner faults and fears,
gentle concealing, of my blow gun darts and spears,
telling you one thing, when I'm meaning something else,
hoping I conceal the truth, releasing my magic spells

cause I am so caught up in me, its all about my wants,
hiding behind my fears, showing artificial fronts

revolting persuasions, is what I try to employ,
persistent evasions, from the truths my ploy,
never giving straight answers, to any questions asked,
have to keep my feelings, yes my fears stay masked

disturbing behavior, is what I'm all about you see,
disturbing behavior, is what you'll always get from me,
there's just one thing, on this troubled mind,
calculating the next disturbing thing in this hollow mind

cause I am so caught up in me, its all about my wants,
hiding behind my fears, showing artificial fronts

Wee Wee Missure

Translater translation2.paralink

excuse me while I take a ***
keep your fancy high heeled shoes out of the way
whoops so sorry I have a poor aim
was planning to fix that later today

so sad that I do not keep control
mister please will you move away
send the cleaning bill over to me
I humbly beg your mercy

Body next to mine

Body next to mine

Hold me real close,
whisper sweet things in my ear,
tell me just how much,
you want me near you

I can't sleep at night,
cause you're always on my mind,
and if I close my eyes,
I swear I can hear you

Oh you are my light,
all my dreams come true,
say that you feel,
the same way that I do

I've got stars in my eyes,
butterflies inside,
I've waited so long
just to be near you

laughing and loving,
there's music in the air,
can't even imagine,
how we could get higher

so happy together,
sharing all the little things,
and when we make love,
you can feel the fire

Oh I want your body next to mine,
yeah I need your loving all the time
