An Ode to Brand O
David Ehrgott May 2015
Hey Hollywood!
How are you ******?
All of you!
Talentless Phonies
All of you!
Fakes!
Acting?
A Talent?
So sick of your lies
Pretending to be
A Somebody
STOP kidding Yourselves
Not one could compare
Not one
The Somebody died
And you couldn't act if your lives depended on it
All of you are
Nobodies
Useless
Actors/******  (pick one)
Trollops
Taxi Dancers have more skill
Eight Children
With five wives
And all you do is cheapen him
He was referring to Wally
Not some phallus
IDIOTS
Somebody never pretended
to act
Somebody never was trained
to act
Somebody once dropped his pants
An Act?
No
Just bad behavior
Bud
Somebody knew how to behave
(take note ******)  (did you get it right?)
A Methodist?
Maybe NOT religious
But so much
Better than some cheap act
Somebody behaved the Best
(even if he did love ***)

Let me try again
Try to explain
Just how I feel for you
In sickness and in pain
In wellness and in health
With fat or with a belt
Being sound, an able mind
or just too crazy to unwind
But, this thing happens every time
I look at you and hear this chime

It's like a carnival with all the rides
And cotton candy stacked so high
The colored lights and happy faces
When your presence gives me graces
Cartwheels and somersaults
And big pink bunnies that you win
It's like a wheelie over wheelbarrows
That I never want to end
A tumble-set 'til summer sets
Then somersets again

Homeless Summer Song
David Ehrgott Jun 2016
The midnight alley cats sing harmony
The fire and police
Lay down the backbone and the beat
to summon music from the street
The ambulance then takes the lead
they drive Daly away
They could have just called up a hearse
the stench of death will stay
The dogs are barking
Howling wolves can hear it far away
No need to light a river fire
was ninety-eight today
too many homeless died last winter
too many homeless in the seat today

Can a blind man
Become a poet
How can one write
about the things
they have never seen

Could a deaf man
Write poetry
How could he express
the sounds of things
He has never heard

Would a dolt even think
About writing poetry
and if he COULD put down
on paper what he feels
Who on Earth would ever listen

There's a professor at Harvard
Who teaches poetry
left, write, upside down, and sideways
but, she was never

Kisses In The Wind
David Ehrgott Sep 2015
I've never been rear-ended
But boy does it sure feel like it
Wish I could say that straight-faced
But as a baby I was ss-*****
Now over fifty years
of living with this pain
And I can't shake it/make it go away
A life filled-up with rain

The ***** of ****** from Hawthorne
Made me look sorry for not marrying her
She may have been a Muenter
or maybe just related to it
You sorry girl, you're so pathetic
LOVE IS NOT POSSESSION
Now all those ***** hippie bands
Can be exposed as two-faced-too-fakes

It's a long goodbye
So please take the hint
The only thing I'm blowing
Is kisses in the wind

Politician's daughters lie
They steal inheritence
I've known this now for quite some time
And know that whales have ate it
When all the homes in California
fall into the ocean
I'll give that ***** a second chance
or just ignore that notion

Untill the crooked Big Jew Mob
return the Vatican
to the church it once belonged to
I won't believe in Him
Sometimes they are just as evil
as those killing in His name
I should have kept my mouth shut
They shot cancer in my coccyx

It's so long/goodbye
Would you take the hint
The only thing I'm blowing
Is kisses in the wind

To my dad in Colorado
Are you still making **** for kids
To my mother in the Poconos
Still ****** her grand kid's kids
If you ever find a mirror
Try to look into/inside it
It could scare the life right out of you
I hope, I wish, I pray for it

And those parasites in Florida
That make tapeworms look so innocent
I have my own kids/family now
Though I was brainwashed to forget them
My eldest daughter, Melanie
Has never been accepted
So why should I give gifts to yours
When they marry some old hothead

It's so long/goodbye
And please take the hint
The only thing I'm blowing
Is kisses in the wind

Jack and Joe sit on their porch
Make fun of people different
Amazingly how they can judge
While sitting on their pulgars
The stars have all been realigned
Like old chalk on a sidewalk
I can not help them anymore
This one last thing I do wish

Frost said eyes meet eyes
And I say lips meet lips
I truly hope to one day find
From ear to ear a happy smile
That isn't full of sh
t

It's a long goodbye
But do take the hint
The only thing I'm blowing
Is kisses in the wind

So use your demi-gods
But don't blame me for your sins
The only thing I've ever blown
Is kisses in the wind

It's so long/goodbye
And please take the hint
The only thing I'm blowing
Is kisses in the wind
The only thing I'm blowing

I Killed The Santa Claus
David Ehrgott Dec 2015
I killed the Santa Claus that died last Tuesday
He was a *** on 6th and 33rd
Ran over him in my bosses beat up limo
Headed for garbage; headed for out of town

Picking up airports on Christmas eve
Twenty-four hours, it isn't a breeze
Falling in potholes and falling asleep
Hunting down deadwood and making a dime

I killed the Santa Claus that died last Tuesday
He was a *** on 6th and 33rd
Ran over himin my bosses crummy limo
Drop off the garbage; Headed out of here

Now I got an ounce, that's 27 g's
Of the finest coke/blow on the street
Look out for me I'm a loaded gun
I've been on the street, not a ton of fun

I killed the Santa Claus that died last Tuesday
He was a *** on 6th and 33rd
Ran over him in my bosses beat up limo
Headed for tunnel; then headed out of here

Now Santa Claus ain't no peace cop
And sometimes I don't give a dare
But, you can imagine reaction
To killing a Santa Claus around here, and

I killed the Santa Claus they found last Tuesday
He was around like light on a tail
Ran over him in my bosses beat up limo
Headed for trouble; Headed out of here

Shooting Lifesavers
David Ehrgott Dec 2015
It doesn't matter anymore
Not to me anyway
Why should I care what you think
Do you ever think of me

You're so full of greed
Because you consumed it in the eighties
And they bait you in the states
With their american awards

So sad, such a sham, what a shame
It doesn't matter anyway
Not to me anymore
You're no comedian but, celebrities are all the same

Shooting lifesavers
And wishing on falling stars
So you can smoke more on the corners
And drink scotch at the bars

Shooting lifesavers
Like the fake friends that they are
And discovering more to life
When it's too late to start a fire

It's almost over now
Don't be ashamed
For the things you did you had to do
In sunshine and the rain

So don't you worry your poor head
or even try to try explain
It doesn't even matter now
The rest can live in pain

Shooting lifesavers
And wishing it would end
So all the torment Devil gave
Would get you in again

Your friends are shooting lifesavers
Because they want to live
But are their lives worth more than nil
If they haven't any give

I would rather end it all
Then shoot lifesavers again
So i could save them up, then give
My lifesavers to my friends

I took the photos of you off
My mirror today
I came to terms with being fifty
You are not too young for anyone
And I may or may not be too something
It's not about a difference in age
It's about living a different life
One of happiness or

Escaping darkness

Not in this life
Not for me
No more trying

Harry don't burn the house down
Alcohol has rottended your brain
Try to give up the drinking
By replacing your niacin

You can't blame Victoria this time
And I know equally of all your pain
but no amount of police friend protection
Sometimes you have to cure with restraint

Harry don't burn the house down
Remember **** hits, when we were kids
We didn't have no crack pipe
We were lucky that way, no sh*t

And don't crap where your mother might live

Words Of Frost Y Thoughts

You gotta have an own to hold
Something to hold on to
The truth is great and shall prevail
When one cares whether it prevail or not

You gotta have an own to hold
It's something that you'd rather have so
Something you'd rather have so than not
So get up something to say for yourself

Get up something to say for yourself
that's the important thing
Getting up things to say for yourself
If you want to hold your own

A man is outside himself and inside himself
Cell walls breaking down and making at the same time
Cell walls going down and cell walls coming up
And forming again, reforming

Poetry, the free field of metaphorical action
Play, where you disport yourself, almost alone that is thought
Eyes find eyes, eyes stay with eyes all our lives
Play, where you disport yourself, almost alone that is thought

You gotta have an own to hold on to
Something you'd rather have so than not
So get up something to say for yourself
When one cares whether it prevail or not

Forgiveness Is Forgiveness
David Ehrgott Mar 2016
You say "I'm sorry"
But you don't mean it
You laugh when you steal
Then think you'll get away with it

You said that I hurt you
But, you're the one that started it
Never once, did you you ever think
That I got hurt and over it

So, you live like Satan
Without forgiveness
And teach your children
How to harm with vengeance

They don't know forgiveness
They don't know Jesus
Have you heard the way to live
These four lines, reread this

You can play the victim
But are you really fooling
Anyone but yourself
Who are you really fooling

Forgive us for our trespass
Forgive us as we sin
Forgive all that have trespassed
Or be the devil's friend

I hope you've learnt a lesson
And where you've sent your kids
You welcome me into your home
To rob me, then you spit

It was you who hurt me
When I was only ten
Pretend it never happened
That's okay, I can forgive

We can go on hurting
And never meet again
Or blame it all on someone
And be the devil's friend

I don't want to upset you
I know your only friend
he can never have me
Because I can forgive

The southern sun, it burns you
Because that's where you live
You think you took my money
But all you have is sin

You took all of my money
I made it back again
Because I can forgive you
Even though your dim

You call Bill Brown your father
His labels brand his kids
You call your pills your helpers
Those ****, they have, they did

If you can try forgiveness
You won't need ***** to live
It's all about forgiveness
Can you just forgive

Love is just forgiveness
Peace is all forgiveness
Life comes from forgiveness
Angels know forgiveness

God is just forgiveness
Life is for forgiveness
Love is all forgiveness
Forgiveness is forgiveness

Painted in tempera on illustration board
Don't know things by heart
They will only break you
Use your mind instead
How as a teen I wanted to die
But could not remember why
And the junkieing of america
Crack baby penquins walking on thin ice
A child being beaten on a bus
The driver runs then, drives away, does nothing
How do you spell deedy

Painted in brown acrylic
over pencil on wood paneling
She's the queen of visa
Knows all the tricks with cards
She said " I like to swim in the rain"
Alligators laughing, like on that Sendak drawing
"Yea" I say "I like the art in" and it was still hot
Dogfights for doughnuts just to shake a stick
The most out of place person I ever met
Was that surfer dude in Michegan
And when I stopped the chair cough
Then maybe I did do the world a favor
And the judge said "Can you prove that
this woman ***** you when you were
a two year old?"  And that is when
The tears began to fall down every cheek
of the jury.

Ice So Cold It Burns
David Ehrgott Nov 2014
Look at the Canyon
Wonder how it got it's start

Grandioso Splendor
It is Deepness
and spread far apart

From just a trickle
off the ice that was so cold
it burnt the earth apart

Make a libretto like Mozart
or just laugh a lot

Ignorance spreads
like a wild fire
Others create art

Pretend you're my friend
but in the end I can see
Through your finely disguised plot

She came to me a kitten so cold
I had to hold
and warm her heart

Her beauty that of skin deep
as it turned out
she really didn't have a heart at all

Nothing there but
deceit, vengeance, & cruelty
Everything beneath
the acts of humanity

An Icy stare
so cold
It burns a hole right through your soul

A man-hating *****
kills and robs millionaires
Trains middle school kids
all the hatred that they deserve

Because of what her father did
She can't let go
And all the men she loves
Pay for all her sorrow

An Icy stare
So cold
It burns a hole right through your soul

I tread muddy waters now
watch now
hear what I know

Imperialist or Socialist
appointed - no choice
That is what we get

Supposedly a free place
Isn't a free place
even when we pretend

Cops **** are children monthly
and the army does the same
and we just watch the t.v.
we haven't any brain

to stop and change
the wrongness
that's been going so insane

take a look old faithful
we can time you
and we know when you blow your steam
with every time in wonder
of it's gleam

Well look who started Lucy
beating five old kiddie brains
and lookit charlie water bomb
We look up to them

We love the way they look
in technicolor
or so were we trained

Burn it down
burn their world
someone has to make a change

I turn the mirror on your faces
say "look at what you have done"
You cry "No Fair. we can't look.
Don't make us, please"

What comes around still goes around
Miss Meunter are you done?

A trickle off the ice
so cold it burns a hole
on planet earth

The waters now so low
they flow then dry up
like the old

An icy stare
can cause a glare
that burns a hole
because it is so cold

Love hurts it always has and lately it can also **** you and me.
*** is a sentence a death sentence *** is a threat to your short life.
*** makes your toes curl with the right girl *** can be something that is nice.
Show my pain and people panic show kindness they spite my existence.
Love is pain and *** is pleasure *** is love when love is together.
It is a painful pleasure this love/*** thing a lot like everything.
Pleasurable pain that lasts forever whatever forever is.
This heart on my sleeve it burns like fire satisfy my desire.
Sometimes *** is love to die for forever always suicidal.
Burn this paper heart of mine in fire cry inferno desire.
And from its ashes it will learn to begin anew and love again.
Love again and begin anew these paper hearts of fire of mine.

In just ten years
They built a new suburb
ONLY FIFTY MILES FROM HERE
It takes two hours
Except on friday nights
Then, it's three to get there
Where the bear and the deer
USED to walk in the woods
and the chipmunks would run scared
And the sweet smell of
Pine fur filled the air
And everything was nice there
Now the maple trees grow everywhere
It seems the deer don't eat here
And the bear crossed
The river called the Delaware
And the Poconos is the new burb
No more vacations
No more summers here
Just more suburban madness

Bad Draw
David Ehrgott Jan 2016
Could have done better
But the dealer had it stacked
Little bit better
But it's done
And it's been packed
I've been searching for someone
True, like me she's blue
I'm telling all my friends
This song, it's for you

Bad draw
I've seen it in my dreams
Bad draw
Wasn't luck that brought me greed
Bad draw
It was cousin's kissing dream
Bad, bad, bad, bad
Bad draw

I was licking something special
Before I was a teen
It seem like it would last forever
But that was just a dream
My baby wore a different card
She'd always been a tease
And why am I here
In the middle
Stuck inside this scene

Bad draw
You've seen it on T.V.
Bad draw
It's been in every magazine
Bad draw
Yea, she was a tease
Bad, bad, bad, bad
Bad draw

Her night gown teased me
Like a soap star on T.V.
She could go from vamp to *****
In a minute minus three
When I fell upon her
I fell down on my knees
I guess I should have known then
Of her power over me
I was never once a man
When she was fifty-three
Yet, the guilt still hangs upon my soul
And she's still my prettiest girl
Still my prettiest girl

Could have done better
Bet the dealer had it stacked
Little bit better
Now it's done
And it's been packed
I always wondered what it'd be
To live a life that's free
So, now I'm telling all my friends
So they can finally see

It was a bad draw
I was losing it for me
Bad draw
Yea, It could have been a dream
Bad draw
Blood lust beyond your dreams
Bad, bad, bad, bad

Father And Son In America
David Ehrgott Jan 2016
I'm proud of my father
Who fought in World War II
He helped save the world
And the red, white, and blue
He brought me up with sternness
Kindness and understanding
And now I see the rules he had
Were there for my good standing
He is an American, true and blue
Looking back when I was a teen
In the nineteen seventies
I rebelled against war
And fought for the causes
Which I believed would change the world
For the better, not the better off
So, when my father put me down
I had to turn and look at him
And say the only reason that
I do these things is because
I am an American

That Song I Wrote About You
David Ehrgott Aug 2016
Here's that song I wrote about you
Instead of lying around, whimpering
I put my pen to the paper again
And I don't even have to pretend
Yes, here's that song I wrote about you
I hope you like how it ends
Because every-time I think of you
I write a song again

Like a manic my-space ******
Reading everything I write
Deleting words you thought were yours
And changing some to fight
It's not your mother dear nic-o-lee
So stop choosing her to blame
You will be cornered by the feds
Someday when they put you both away

I never knew love in this kind of way
Fly to get there.  Then, have to explain
What possessed me to see you in person
can never be explained
I'd like to talk about two girls
And they're both from Michigan
You Georgia peaches got nothing on them
And the way they love to sin

And many come to see me in person
At the typewriter where I sit
And sometimes they can make me feel easy
And at times they make me **** [panic]
When they say
"Why'd you write that song about me"
And I say
"Listen, it was only words"
Do you want to fight with me?
And then they lay on their back again

I told you every-word is about you
But the names, look, they changed again
All that hurt, and you still sleep around
Can't you trust?  Then please tell me why you can't
I'd like to write a song about FEB
And how beautiful a ten
or how those ****** in Hollywood
Stole my song last year, again
But, thanks to my friend Walleye I knew they
wouldn't get away with it
Now there I go again
Got off the track in Hackensack
Oh well, here we go again

So, here's that song I wrote about you
To my wife/*****/lost girlfriend
I put my pen to the paper again
And I don't even have to pretend
Somebody write this date down
Sunday, One Ten Twenty-Ten
What once was so very far away
Has already been spent

Hear a song I wrote for you
If the big men go and steal it
I'll have to write another one
I just hope that you can feel it
Here's that song I wrote about you
Can you have that on your conscience?
Here's a song I wrote about you
Life is short!  There!
This song has balance

So, here's that song I wrote about you
Instead of lying around, whimpering
I put my pen to the paper again
And I don't even have to pretend
Yes, here's that song I wrote about you
And I hope you like it's ending
Because, every-time I think of you
I write a song again

Mary took her lamb to vacation in the Sierra Nevadas.
Until the Donners showed up one day unexpectedly.

Mary just wasn't the same after that.

Who Killed The Constitution
David Ehrgott Aug 2016
Hey!  don't blame me, I didn't start it
Our fore-fathering leaders came up with it
The United States Constitution
Clearly it defines us
No it don't, but it should
And that's why we're so *******-up

I clearly have a right to state my mind when bent
There is no need to exercise
our rights or we'll lose them
No need to ever question them
They're signed in permanent

The problem is that they pretend
That they don't even exist
Authority will put you down
and spit on your poor head
Don't ask for help from Liberty
She headed back to France
Why do people seem to kick
The gift-horse in the ribs or in the mouth
It just never makes know sense

It tells me here I have a right to own my own weapon
**** any brother/mother off if they trespass again
Protect MYSELF and PROPERTY
It's written here in ink
So why are all these jokers here
Just making me plain sick
By taking everything I own
They're leading me to sin

If I ever would work-out my rights again
I'd be in jail or someplace worse
and I don't mean prison
Somebody thought the banks could pay
for a debt that never ends
You have no right to tell us this, you're not american
I do believe I have the right to go to hell again

I walked into the library to gain more information
Larry Tribe said it's invisible
The U.S. Constitution
Louis Fisher writes recurring threats have come
To U.S. Freedom on to Woods and Gutzman
Both of them want to know
Who killed the U.S. Constitution

Go ahead and blame it on me
Everybody else did
I guess we make what we believe
When we're up against it
This push and shove and pettiness really has to end
If you need to know the question again
Please tell me who killed the U.S. Constitution

Because it never went away
But, we ignore it everyday
Someone question me
Please ask me
Who killed the constitution
was it God?  or was it men?
Was it the one's who caused the fallout?
Could we really ever bailout?

Not me my friend, I'm staying here
Right Here!  Until the very end
What does that mean?  I'll tell ya Jim
I'll fight for rights that I believe in
Even if they lead to sin
The U.S. Constitution

And If anyone wants to know
I'll ask the question once again
Somebody here please tell me
Who killed the constitution
Yeah, one more time
I love it's ring
And forever which it stands
Somebody again please tell me
Who killed the constitution
Who killed the constitution

The Turtle And The Snail
David Ehrgott Nov 2015
I fell in love
with a ghost/witch/mermaid
The prettiest girl in the world
In any century
Atlantic City
Nineteen Eighty-five

I'm not sure who to point
or blame for the how or what
that led to change
the level of my dimension
Don't know why

But if I ever get to her again
and if it doesn't lead to sin
Not sure if I'd grab
the bargain or the Bible

I gave her just one kiss
to dare and tried my best
to not to stare
at all her hard shell/hard sell
Custom Homemade Ocean Jewelry

Tried so hard to hide my fear
of dying could not take the cold
hard facts of life's blatant destiny
Desire hurt my soul

I had to come back here
Again just to see your face
I bet that someday we will
Finally be friends or so much
More than that I don't pretend
I warn you Sam my
One and only friend

And if you knew my sister sue
She stunk
The world then had her due
I may
Not never
Know what door she would have choosed

And if you stick around
choo-choo
You'll hear a song/can sing along
about some trains
that I pretend I knew

The turtle and the snail
They ride on tender ground
I miss you girl
I'm tying this old country
Song to you

I was way to young to
let my burning ash exist
Had much more yearning
to do learning
what was asked, I just forgot
Don't know if I have that
much more to counter

No lady
bug would ever sing
about my blues
I have no ring
to give I even lost my broken teeth

I lived a week
Four Million years
or somewhere in between that
Dear you can
not preposition end a sentence

And if you know that I'm a tease
won't be surprised
But I won't leave you
Hang around
I'm sure there's plenty more

Well look at that I'm tired flat
I wrote two pages how 'bout that
I guess it makes no sense to further carry
On again I could just turn

the page
hey now, see that
I got more space to write
more facts about my life
and why I am so crazy

Her fins they flapped I followed
Her a million laps
from old man-
hattan lower end
I mixed it up my friend
No really
Hope there is no more confusion

I don't no life
I just exist
I tell no lie
I swear sweet miss
So don't you try
to get me into trouble

The turtle and the snail
will ride the earth once more
go where you go
I've been there
So I'm ducking in again

I think I'll have a beer
This ends I'm sure
it's not one of my gems
But what more do I need to say or do
Then sit here and songwrite again
or write haikus that never end
on this lazy Sunday afternoon

The turtle and the snail
will ride the earth once more
After we're gone
They'll still be here
Go bang a gong
They're two slow pokes
One's soft
One's hard
You figure out which
One's made just for you

An oyster clam or
Lady bug would get eat up or
Just get stuck
No more eating that much
Pasta without salad

And now it's time to
Get on board
Hey you Choo-Choo
Four-Fifty-Four
I'm gettin' out of here
Hear what I promised

I don't know but I've been told
The Redding Railroad dropped its load
Go take the B&O; to someplace new
'Cause California outgrew you
With double headed 2-82s
Canadian Pacific calling you
No B&M;?
Rutland will do
with RS3 and 2-8-2
to Lake Champlain the 201 with you

Delaware & Hudson call
'ol Henry Stewart
from Whitehall
he's steering Alcors3; the engineer
But don't look here
'Cause I'm not there
That bobby fooled you/disappeared
and lookit
where'd they go?
that's all the words!

The American Sentencing
David Ehrgott Aug 2015
Rain that melts the snow away in early May will never go away.

Seems like that for several days here in March we've lost our ozone layer.

"Big Deal" says the taxi-man in the big city with the fat wallet.

Fat oil says, fat oil says, fat oil says, fat oil says goodnight.

Eat green, eat fresh, eat lithium, just don't try to drink the tritium.

High tide in the hackensack as the moon smiles down on the mosquitoes.

Big daddy stepping on the little man again d.t.v. no good.

Big daddy stepping on the little man there's no healthcare.  Just say die.

This year we can make believe there is health care.  Temperature, pulse, blood pressure.

That is all they do for you for those on medicare and medicaid I swear.

Come back in ninety days we'll do it all over again.  Foot bleeding

It's probably fine, soak it in hot water or you could see a doctor.

But you have to go to the e.r., then you wait for a specialist.

This way they can charge for the higher rate the insurance can't cover.

And that is what caused all those states to be bankrupt.  American Ulcers.

But the people who give half their pay to get insurance get to live.

Absolutely Nothing
David Ehrgott Apr 2016
I woke up this morning
Arose from my bed
My head was in pain
And there was hurt in my leg

Washed up and ate
and packed my brief
The works overload
caused little of sleep

Thought of times used
on the early ride-in
Fear subsides to agony
Then, stress subdues to sin

The mind does not drift
During works busy trends
And when the day's over
My mind, it just bends

So I go to the market
To pick up a something
Who's that?  Whap! Bam! Boom!
What's wrong?  Absolutely nothing!

that lamb of hers would make
business in their yard

On Morning Wood
David Ehrgott Sep 2015
My rooster's hard, bent blue again
Might break out of her pen
I'd hate to be the headline news
or view on news at ten
Four more people died today
Struck by hotwire pole
There must be something I can do
Something I can poke

I'd like to tunnel through then, glue
your underground encavement
So, no one else could trespass
on your petals nor their softness
I see you.  How do you do?
Let songs of love begin
Carried on through morning light
May sunshine never end
And lay your head on morning wood,
together we will mend
David Ehrgott Jan 2017
The other day they showed on the news a tweet by President Elect Donald J. Trump. It is a very sad situation when you have an illiterate as your newly appointed leader. It's like I told Layne Marie. It only gets it, when it is and never gets it when in possession. I know what you're thinking. This poet did the same thing when he posted poems on other sites. Yes. Guilty as charged. But, Trump didn't pay Mike Tyson to beat up you. And whenever I recover from those beatings I just might get up the nerve to do something about it. DO NOT TELL ME that this country is so ******* up that anyone running for president shouldn't have to take a literacy test. So we have now a mobster that is ignorant of the rules of grammar, leading the way. This is a very sad day. The 14th will be an even Saturday.

Nearly twenty years ago
I can't believe time flies
When all I had upon my mind
Was thoughts of getting high

I never understood my mom
Popping pills at tea
or How my grandpa polished
off a case a day, no, three

Not wanting to become insane
or Die diseased so early
I decided at a legal age
To smoke the ****, for surely

of All the places in the states
Just one said do it legally
I packed my bags and set out for
Mendocino County

I took my time, such a long ride
on 80 from New Jersey
Enjoyed the sights but, flew no kite
Still, made my travels worthy

The California National Guard
and the DEA
Set up a post to check all cars
in/out of the county

It took a couple hours then
For them to inspect me
I must admit here that this greet
Did make me feel uneasy

They made it very clear to me
That I could smoke' the ****
Just don't try to take it out
of Mendocino County

I said "Okay!"  They said "Drive Safe"
I buckled ; drove away
I drove along the two-lane road
Admittedly Amazed

I turned a corner , hit the brakes
There was in front of me
A farmer man, who did tell me
Get out, you have to learn the ****

I abided easily
to learn most all or everything
I could so one day I could be
An expert in Weedology

I spent nearly a week or two
Finding out all that I could
But, I was high and this did lead
to some info misunderstood

I learned cultivation, irrigation
debugging plants by spraying pepper
Planting, pruning, a beginner
But, after time, I did get better

Then one day after a cup
of morning Bhang, I did awake
Then moseyed on to brighter pastures
****** alone, I was quite baked

Would you believe ; I can't believe
A girl I knew from New Jersey
A ***** from Hawthorne she despised me
This feeling was so mutually

After I escaped her grip
And fed her some more bitter lip
I took my bag, it was a lid
and slowly rolled another spliff

I found a house to my amaze
It said "For Rent" read in my haze
I paid the rent/security
Pulled out a blunt, began to blaze

There was no time that I remember
From months of May through to September
That I wasn't high all day
I knew I had to move away

****, (the grass) grown everywhere
Just pick some off, feel better, there
No one left out of the haze
Everybody there did blaze

I got so bored, I was so teased
Stop it!  Stop it!  Stop it, please!
I can't be ****** all' of the time
Oh, shut up and smoke more of this ****

I could not take it anymore
I closed the house and shut the door
All the smoke I once adored
Soon became all such a bore

I packed my bags and said goodbye
To all my stoner friends still high
I headed north to Oregon
To grow tomatoes, seemed like fun

Twenty years now have been spent
Remembering those cronies
Those mendacious merchant mendicants
of Mendocino County

I got hit with an AK-47
A bunch of other kids got all cut up too
I'd rather sit at home and die
of radiation from my computer
Then to have to go to school again
Just to become a ghoul

It's not funny.  Learning is so frightening
today.  All the cameras brother has and
Still, we are not safe.  I'd hate to be
A target/kid today

There is a cure, but they won't figure it out
"Give 'em more guns.  Give 'em more guns."
Is all they ever shout
Well, listen here friend let's just say
Let's fix this thing and do it today
Say take 'em all guns  Take 'em all away
Take 'em all guns  Just take them all away
Today
