Shattered pieces laying there,
Wishing I didn’t have to care,
Falling apart,
Wishing I could find the one who is to hold my heart,
The one who will not want to part.

It demands to be felt,
Playing the cards we were dealt.
It’s saying goodbye even when you don’t want to,
It’s watching your heart break into two.
Crying myself to sleep at night,
Wishing that I didn’t want to put up a fight.
He left me to go on,
Sadly I feel more like he’s officially gone.
Waiting, crying and stinging pain,
Watching the clouds pour down rain.
Pain demands to be felt.

Brown hair, brown eyes.
A smile so wonderful I could get lost.
He looks up at me,
A smile across his face.

Every part of me suddenly gone,
He plays me just like his pawn,
The perfect man across the room.

Forty-five minutes went by,
Laughing, talking, and not one single lie.
Beautiful, perfect, and absolutely wonderful,
That you are.
