“Write”
-he says-
So that you may never forget.

Let the footprints
of your path
be the words
you once wrote.

Fill the white sheets
of paper
With rainbow colored
Ink.

Red
for love
Blue
for sorrow
Yellow
for happiness

Write about
The beach you once went to
The stars you see
The future only you can imagine

Write about
Love,
Loss,
HIM.
Write about him.
Write anything.

“Just write”
-he says-
Write so that you may never be forgotten.

It is summer -
a quiet night

- the silence
disquieting

all those lights
out on the water -

- stars, like floating
diamonds

moon, you big old pearl
- my lifebuoy

a driftwood fire of dreams
to hold me -

until morning comes
slowly - like a sad-eyed model

- tired of her beauty, wanting
more than a moment in the sun.

are we and the grass and trees
ennobled graced gifted are we
the thriving warrior's
worker ants enrichers feeding the
throng
as we strive daily along
sniffing a scent we get in
our minds a nirvana a heaven if we just
keep on
and we wax and wane in lyrical bliss
tired to the bone whipped
just to hear a song of hope or
love or perpetual peace,
and as we stay the course for
the eternity as it ticks
we are blessed to breathe to be
a part of the chorus
a melody we all make buzzing like bees
a song once did escape the numerous
that sung so rare it made a song
like a bee and an ant on a pine cone
in the forest.
For that,
I hum.

From this stripped down
Verse

Come all these
Wild
Untamed
Munificent flowerings.

Thus it is my love,
With patience
Of a gardener

Dost our love
Fecund
Become

And bloom
Like as raindrops plummet from yonder shore,
So hastily dashed him at love's behest,
Swifter than a hunted wild roving Deer,
With impatience like a raging tempest;
And by the most lustrous yet rare plectrum,
Heavenly tunes at his heart strings didst pluck,
That he beamed with colors of the spectrum,
Brighter than golden specks of the zodiac;
For her honeycomb, the taste of nectar
Distilled from all the flowers of heaven;
Hence swooned as the sea over light of star,
For love had casted her novelty boon.
"O what on earth so joyous than one's face
Whilst in arms of a lover's warm embrace?"
