I want to make poetry
from poverty.
I eschew women.
I buy nothing.
I eat little.
I own less.
I have neither
TV nor cellphone.
This is not asceticism.
I just want
to know the bones
of life before
I become
the bones of death.

Believing in Karma
I kiss the sky
and she sends me sunshine and rain in good measure.

You stand before me like a wall
Awaiting the character of graffiti
You see me as some frozen myth
Within the solid ice of past
You see no movement
Such short and shallow vision
I am already you and more
Listen to my years
Read the maps of my scars
Why insist on fresh blood of your own?

You are not me
Nor am I less
And you don't know anymore
It's different now
You're out of touch

Have new emotions been discovered?
New hungers?
New desires?
New hatreds?
New loves?

Different containers
Same emotions

Rock bottom,
not  a
good place
for a
vacation home.

Whenever I don't have words
I smile and this is the cheapest way to be humble.

God made the world with passion
If he didn't I don't want to live here
Being passionate about
Someone or something
Gives the heart reason to beat
Let your passions thrive
Let them flourish
Let them drive you
To your grave .

Time is a stretch of the imagination
timed to within a few brain cells
created by the inward landscapes
travelled while going nowhere.

Don’t settle—
Whatever you do
don’t settle with it is too late now,
it will fill you with regret
and leave you frozen in fear.
We all want change
whether it lies within ourselves
or those around us yet cannot accept
the fact we all strive for a change
that varies from  person to person—
So naturally the eyes of one
differ from another.

We all seek ways to be great
yet cannot work around the problems
that arise when fear arrives—
We all give in to
the fear of what others think,
the fear of what others do,
the fear of failure,
the fear of the unknown,
and the fear of every second yet to be lived.
But don’t settle—
Whatever you do
don’t settle with it is too late now
it will fill you with regret
and leave you frozen in fear.

It matters not
If you’re rich or poor
Whether your life is easy
Or hard to endure

If you’re living content
Or your days are driven
It’s what you can do
With what you’re given
