Water wives live sheltered lives
Amongst the coves where pirates rove

Daily catch is makers match
Where red hot stoves hide fresh baked loaves

Water men are thick and thin
So often strove where shipmates hove

Water child is often wild
The treasure trove where pirates roved

The deeper you stare into
The flotsam,
The clearer our origin stories
Become:

We are shipwrecks.

Islands
Bro-

ken Like bread and
Doused in
Salted wines.

We are cupbearers,

Slaves
With rusted chains
That dangle
Loosely
From our ankles,

Shrouding our skin from the harsh
Freedom

Sun offers.
From a harbour, not a beach. More your story than mine.

Clouds are floating by,
In the beautiful evening sky,
There is a faint sunset in the west;
And seagulls are flying home to rest.
The moon's rays fall gracefully to the ground,
Such beauty doth here abound,
The lighthouse is standing stately on the rocky coast;
I shall always love this place the most.
The waves are crashing in motion,
The moonlight reflects in the ocean,
Three palm trees are dancing on the rocky coast;
This place I love the most.
The full moon is shining from way up high,
It is so beautiful I'm ready to cry,
And as the moonlight hits the shore;
I shall hold this place dear forevermore.

Two lovers are standing on the shore,
Beautiful this place shall be evermore,
There is a beautiful sunset painted in the sky;
Beautiful palm trees stand so high.
There is a rocky island in the west,
And all the birds have flown to rest,
The beautiful waves are in motion;
The sunset is reflected in the ocean.
This place I hold dear to my heart,
God created such a beautiful work of art,
The sun is sinking behind the sky;
This place is so beautiful I could cry.
The ocean breezes create a symphony,
Beauty is woven in the air so sweetly,
This place in my heart is kept;
I love this beautiful Romantic Sunset.

The moon's rays shine under the ocean,
The beautiful blue waves are in motion,
There is a full moon tonight;
And it is shining beautiful and bright.
The beautiful fishes are swimming under the ocean,
Listen to the sound of the ocean,
All kinds of ocean plants are growing under the waves;
I love the moonlit rays.
There's only a slight sunset in the sky,
A shooting star falls from way up high,
Little twinkling stars light the dark sky;
It is so beautiful I begin to cry.
Oh I love this enchanting scene,
Everything is so beautiful just like a dream,
This place is beautiful beyond belief;
This beautiful place called Dolphin Reef.

We are but ships
on the turquoise sea
we float along,
to the heartbeat of the waves.

We have been sailing,
on this forlorn course
for much too long,
going our own separate ways.

But now is the time
to change our sails
and make our courses unite,
to join forces and enjoy our lives together.

Do you have the strength to reset your sails
on the course that two can sail?
Can you set your anchor close to mine
and forgo the rest of the world?

Your sails have turned
so that our paths have crossed.
You have set your anchor by my side
and you've made me your best mate.

Like these ships on the sea,
the wind has brought us to a safe cove,
where both of us can live our lives
to the heartbeat of our waves.

Why they call it Devil's Elbow,
I don't and never will know,
Because this is the most beautiful place I've seen;
It's so beautiful like a dream.
There are fir trees on the cliff behind the lighthouse dear,
Oh I do so love it here,
A light sheen of mist fills the air around the trees;
The sunset reflects on the sand which blows away in the breeze.
The majestic seagulls walk on the shore and fly in the air,
So freely and happily without a care,
Beautiful waves crash against the boulders in motion;
The seagulls sing a song of the ocean.
The beacon's light guides the ships at night,
Oh the beauty of it's light,
On and on the waves crash and flow;
Oh I love Devil's Elbow!

One day I want to travel the sea,
Yes that's the person I'd like to be.
Only the ocean blue is what I'll see.
On my ship is where I'll drink my tea.
Yeah, that sounds a little like little old me.
I won't be sad, oh quite the contrary.
I'll be reading my favorites, in my personal library.
Never will I be on one knee.
My Grandma would be oh so proud of her little "Jesse".

A beautiful sunset
Fading in the west
A path in golden sand of footprints
Leading to the sea
The wind whistles through the trees
All around a heavenly dark golden glow
Shines at the shore
Beyond the sunset is heaven
Beyond that celestial veil
God is making a place for His Saints
Beyond the golden glow
The heavenly choir forever sing
Beyond the sea
God is there
Making many mansions
There will be harps for us to play
Beyond the sunset
He is there!

she wasn't thinking straight; her thoughts flowing with images of you*

a drive to the ocean on a day too cold for beach-going, you two still walked the sand
there was talk about things neither of you really cared about
but it was too soon for the conversations about things you did
or that night in the in the field, while your friends searched the sky for shooting stars
she was busy searching your eyes, her own set of stars.
you never noticed how much she cared
