We've all had someone we loved and had some one love us.
The hard thing is for that to be the same person.
In my teenage years
I met the Angel of Love.
and the Demon of Lust.
It was a beautiful day
Love flew down
Glowing like the Sun
with wings that roared louder
than all the planets oceans at once.
Leaving the Grass greener
the Trees taller, the Inhabitants calmer
where ever Love spread them.
Love flew down
and said...
"Love my name alone can end all
of your brother and sisters religious wars,
Love is what keeps families together
whose sons and daughters are in war
Love is what cannot be taken from the poor
and opens closed doors
releasing hate lust and envy
so they don't live inside of us no more."
"Yes!" I shouted in tears of joy and pain.
"I once felt loved but I was completely blind
cause if I knew what Love was then you would still be mine."
The sky darkened.
Thunder and lightning
flashed and exploded,
From a space of dark smoke
flew up
the Demon of Lust
drooling with a devilish smirk that could turn mean old Grinch
into Santa Claus.
Looking around to see the weak
shaking at the knees
itching for a fix.
Lust says,
My presence alone will make a hundred of you bow down to me.
One thought is all it takes and I control your mind.
Penetrating your dreams even in the daytime.
I've turned husband and wives and into adulterers
and desperate souls the culprits.
Families broken.
Connections forgotten.
I'm responsible for ALL of the illegitimate children.
the Demon of Lust
then Paused
and grabbed the Angel of Love's hand
and said,
"I too
once felt loved but I was completely blind
cause if I knew what Love was then you would still be mine."

I am barely human
My heart lit with quandary
A puzzle left to solve
But my mind is so broken
Where to start?

Lost
Amongst the shadows of other machines alike
I feel the deception piercing me
It's virally calculated disease
Taking over me
Nuts and bolts
Breathe easy

Moments throughout
My catalog of experience befuddle me
Keen to an illusion mimicked repititiousley
One that gives my heart hysteria
Can a vessel designed to compute
In form and essence give sensation?
A primal ,visceral, raw emotion

Like a siren's lips
To sinking ships
Beckoning me

Substantial evidence
Admits otherwise

But my fascination for steeping
On the permutation and probability
Improbably suggests
That hope is something anyone can learn

The floods that dried keep rushing out
The fire that saved me won't burn out
The hands I wish could hold me now
Hold the noose that keeps me falling down

The rope you use, it burns me deep
Your fog, it blinds me when I sleep
Your tide, surrounding when I think
But I will never seek their love
Because yours is all I find in me.

Though you've set sail
And our love has left
I hear the words beat through my chest
When our love was a sea
Did you ever think
There'd come a storm through symphony

Symphony's storm rushes
Your nails dug deep
So cold in the room
My lips taste the very warmth that holds me

Dancing from "The Moon" smelling
So sweet
Escaping from the fragile stick
In the little brown box beside me
Lingering on my skin and in my hair
I take a deep breath

I am so calm

Rising up from the rim of my mug
A tea bag floating
The taste is warm on my lips
Curling around my face and nose
Bidding good morning
I take a deep breath

I am at ease

Quietly sneaking up and away
From the black wicks
Thieves of the air
Bright below them
Faces illuminated
Disappearing into nothing
Unnoticed
I take a deep breath

I am blissful

Mixing together their smells
With so much ease
So much grace
Running together
Forming unspoken alliances
Locked with chains made of air

Dancing and Rising and Sneaking
Above my head
Until they disappear all together
And I am alone
Once more
