Hush

Hush!
We are known
.....
The sky is open the Gods have come
...
See the little lovers in the meadows
Soon oh soon the meadows all afire
-----
THE WILL TO POWER
the will to love
::::

She hands me softly her flower
--
How much pain shall we endure before we say
"If I love you I must protect you forever?"
...
My mind is open
Where is the Heart?
////
Slaves of factories and the stink
of people using money
As whip and chain
--
Big business?
Government?
**** 'EM!
....
(how?)
.
Little lost fragmented moments where we dwell
From these
The sacred catacombs of yore
We shall free
Ourselves and the world
///
Only an "I love all beings and forever"
Will do now
//
I love you and forever

The face of evil came to town
But his face wasn't evil at all

He smiled kindly, kissed both cheeks
And charmed you with his call

They say that the devil is beautiful
He was once an angel too

Now that I've seen the face of evil
I believe this statement is true

He speaks of many tearless nights
Since the day that he was born

I ask how could his parents
Just leave him ripped and torn?

I listened through the wall one eve
And heard him whisper low

"I'm filled with sorrow and despair
Though not a soul should know"

I never said a single word
Of what I heard that night

He showed to us his dimpled face
As he left by morning light

To this day I hear his voice
So sad and barely there

He's just a sad and broken creature
And only I seem to care

Nibbled Days

REAL
These sunny days
Oh, how they beat me down
Let's not go back
To the days
That made us tired and old

Come on let's run
Let's run right through the grass
And sing loud songs
And fall asleep
In each others arms

In these summer beds
Smiling behind a hint of mystery
Devious in such a timid matter
What is it that you want from me
Your desires hide between our silent banter

Be it love, lust, a need to be noticed
From across the room there's one thing I see
The look of joy in your eyes has diminished
Which deeply saddens me

Take my hand and come away
Let your grief be my burden to bear
You will be happy again someday
Whatever you need I'd be glad to share

Back into the fray
Emotions so greatly concealed
I pray to see the day
When behind our masks our truths will be revealed

You want to see him
Now? The receptionist
Asked. Yes, this minute,
You replied. What’s it

About? None of your
Concern. I think I need
To know before I can
Interrupt him. You need

To know jackshit. There
Was a staring of eyes.
Hesitation. A looking
Down at the phone, a

Scratching of forehead
Dislodging flakes of dry
Skin. Is it that important?
Maybe you could give

Me some idea what you
Need to see him about?
***, you mutter. ***?
Yes, he came around

To my place last night
And after a real good
Session lasting until
The small hours he up

And left without so
Much as a goodbye kiss
Or whispered word. That
Right? Yes, you said. I’ll

Get him right away, I
Wanted to know where
The heck my husband
Was last night and now

I know. Are you sure
Want to see him now?

The men line up
Up against my brain
Too big for its skull
They bleed out my eyes
And eyelashes become their noose.
But you don't ever get in line.
So you won't be finished off.
Done, you sewn up creature,
Will you keep this name?

Go ahead
Finish me off with your broken
Neck intentions
I see how your eyes flutter and shut
Like a hospital bed curtain
I see the hangmen
Dangling from your
Eyelashes

Slowly fire red
blood dries to a maroon
and, there, a raccoon
mocks your crawling carcass

Ha ha you know the rhyme then
Again and again
I'm looking for someone who can understand
Awkward crisscrossing needle and thread
Your hands are stained red with my blood
Now you are gone
Your absence leaving
Bleeding bullet holes
That anyone can walk
By and put their fingers in
I love the quick high
The exasperated rush but
I wish now you did not leave
Such a perfect exit wound

Needle and thread shaking
But Why? Haven't I done this before?
A thousand times
Change his name.
Sew him up.
Scared every time.*

You changed your name
A thousand times since last we met
I am cold and tired my wounds deep
I love you no-name
Sew me up
Annie's words are in italics
While mine remain in boring old Times New Roman...eww
Relinquish these chains of injustice, this yoke of deceit
Ameliorate your life away from tribulations and pain
Take up a spirit of greatness, welcoming refinement
Keep your heart unpretentious with each step you take
Not just for greatness, but for a life of personal fulfillment

Time is like a leap of faith
something i have never known before
Time is a clock on my door
times that i have cherish mean more
          to me, than ever before
          times that came and went
like a sea lapping on a shore
          now to me mean more
but it is just time you see

WAS and WAS     NO MORE.

At what height is appropriate
To strain, sift
I must be doing this wrong

You are beautiful
But you are
For show

I dreamt of temptation
Terrorism
A storm

You are
Cruel

I dreamt so vivid
When I woke up you weren't there
I was still
